Default Starting to take Letrozole

Hello Girls- I am 26 and have been TTC since August. So, not too long! I have just finished my first cycle of 100 mg Clomid and an IUI. AF came this morning! My doctor wants to put me on Letrozole this cycle. My lining was too thin last month. So, I wanted to get some advice from you girls. Are my chances of getting pregnant greater on Letrozole than on Clomid? Thanks for the advice!!

Femara/Letrozole wreaks far less havoc on your lining than Clomid does. Check out the Femara Info thread/sticky near the top of the board. It's loaded with info that will probably answer any and all questions you might have.

Wanted to welcome you and wish you a short time on Femara with lots of sent your way. We have some recent s that I still have to get posted on the stats thread, but you can see what has happened in the past around here. I think it's a very promising IF treatment and you should be pleased with the results.

I look forward to getting to know you.

First of all welcome!!
I am sort of bias but I think you have found the best group of ladies here!
Anyway, I did six rounds of Clomid all bfn's and did get preggers with femara (with the help of follistim and trigger). It is a wonderful IF drug and the s/e's are few to none vs. Clomid.
Babydust to you!!

Welcome and I wish you every success!!!!

I am currently PG with a Femara baby I am a huge supporter of it for IF treatment. The side effects are not that bad and it does help in promoting the thickening of your uterine lining.

If you have any questions please let us know. The ladies here are truly great and very supportive.

Good luck again and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Welcome! I too prefer Femara to Clomid, since Clomid never made me ovulate, but the Femara does. Still no BFP yet though, but I'll be moving on to IUI with Femara in Feb. Hope you have success with it as many do!
