I have been really struggling emotionally this last bit. I have had some really really bad days with some very dark moments. I think I have almost hit the end of my rope with everything (Immigration, Being away from my DH, Both our moms fighting cancer, My DH's stroke, money, tons of other things that will NOT stop plaging my mind). I have been desperately trying to find strength and something to hold on too. I still have not found the perfect solution and truly do not think there is one but I have done two things for my self today and I am very excited now:

1. I booked my 3D/4D U/S for Dec. 15th.....it’s so far away but I am excited. I will be getting a 30min recorded DVD of the baby recorded to music, I will get to listen to the heart beating away, they will gender the baby for me and I will also get a cd with all the pic's so I can get as many copy's printed off as I want. I am doing up a package to send to all my relative in the US for Christmas. They are missing so much of my PG and I though this would be a fun Christmas gift for everyone. Plus on Christmas day as part of the gift I will announce the gender of the baby. I will 20 weeks along.....on the early side of when they like to do this type of U/S BUT it will still be neat. 2. I finally convinced my DH to go along with me ordering a Doppler I found a local Co (http://www.tummytickles.com/pregnancy_doppler.html ) that you can rent from that is very reasonable and has a GREAT brand!!!! I am so excited....they lady was able to ship it out today and I just might get it tomorrow if all goes well. Other wise for sure by Thursday. I looked into buying one but we just do not have that much extra rate now. I only truly want it for 1 month and with the local Co the return shipping is free so it really not that expensive. I have been very worried about my little bean and want to hear that heart just to help put my mind at ease. I can NOT wait till it arrives....eeeeee....so excited!!!

How exciting! We did that with Ava about the same time frame and it was wonderful! I also got a doppler and it was a great peace of mind for me, with multiple m/c's in my past. That is what got me through till I was able to feel her really moving around.

I don't think it's silly at all. You have every reason to be excited and this will help you until you and your Dh can be together full time. Hope the time passes quickly for you.

Very exciting! I have seen a few of my friends 4D dvd's what an amazing experience. And Like Shannon said I don't think it's silly at all. You have every reason to be excited and it can only help until you and your Dh are together again.

That is wonderful and the doppler will definately give you peace of mind. I used one with Abigail until I was 22 weeks.
