I am hopeful that femara will work for us. I started with 2.5 on 3 - 7 but that has been increased to 5mg on 3-7 -- last cycle I did well i had 2 nice folilces and I ovulated with a trigger shot - I just don't know what went wrong everythong was going just fine.. Any advice -Any atories - anything would help for this cycles....Thank you in advance

Welcome to the board! I know you will find lots of support here. Sorry that your first cycle didn't result in a , but it's great that you responded well to the Femara. Wondering why they bumped you up in dosage after just one cycle? Usually docs wait a few cycles unless they don't see any response. Oh well, it doesn't really matter. What matters is you found us and we are here to support you.

Femara worked really well for me in producing follies. My problem ended up not being something Femara could help with. 3 years later, we found out what it was, got our $4 Rx for Prednisone and all was fixed. I had an auto-immune problem and my body was attacking the fetus or DH sperm. Anyway, I was part of the original group that started on this board and I just haven't been able to give it up, because it was such a source of strength and comfort to me during my IF years. I hope you find it the same for you. Good luck this cycle. I look forward to getting to know you better.

Welcome! 5mg is the normal dosage I think. Even if everything is right with follie size etc. it can still take a healthy person months to conceive. I think the odds are about 20-25% per month of conceiving, so don't give up hope, just be patient. I'm glad to hear it is working for you!
