Default Questions.....

This is my second round of Femara. The first round I didn't really feel anything different. This round I am only on Day 9 of my cycle and I am having lots of pain and pressure in my abdominal area. It has been lasting for about 2 hours now. I have not felt anything like it before. Even my AF cramps don't last this long. Could I possibly be getting to Ovulate this early? Do you think I should start my OPK's earlier than Day 11 like the doctor ordered? Any input would be great. TIA

Question - What is Aygestin?

I notice that your dosage of Femara this cycle is double from last cycle. It is very likely that you are making more follicles this cycle than last and since you have had several anovulatory cycles, this is new to your body. Multiple follicles can cause pain in the lower abdominal region. The more follicles the more tender you may find it and you will probably feel it when you ovulate. Since you have increased the dosage of Femara and you are having the pains, I would go ahead and start the OPKs today or tomorrow at the latest so you don't miss it. It may still happen at a normal time of the cycle, and just be that you have multiple follies causing the pains. But it won't hurt to be prepared just in case.

I hope this has helped you some. Glad you popped in and hope you will stick around.

Aygestin is used to restore menstruation in women who have stopped having menstrual cycles (also called amenorrhea). Aygestin can also help treat endometriosis, a condition where the endometrium (the lining of the uterus) doesn't shed properly and attaches to the outside of the uterus or other areas such as the ovaries or bowels. Aygestin also helps control unusual and heavy bleeding of the uterus caused by hormonal imbalance. However, the drug is not used to control bleeding caused by fibroids or cancer.

Good luck on your new med change. I hope it is your answer. I know in some ladies when they up there meds they can O early. I would for sure us your OPK's just to be safe that you do not miss that magical date. I know I did / do not O every CY do to my endo and just how my body works so when I do I tend to release more then one egg and when that happens it is quite painful and tender....I have always known when I was O'ing due to that feeling.

I have saver endo and have not heard of that treatment (Maybe I have but just a different name.....I have tried so many treatments).....is that why you are on it? Has it helped? I know I am counting the days down till I can have my hysterectomy. We have always wanted two PG's and then its all coming out.....if we may end up with more then two babies WOOO HOOO (its very possible for us) but then I am done. I am so tired of living with the pain everyday.

Yes your advice helped. I just haven't ovulated on any cycle yet so I am not really sure what I am looking for yet. I just use those darm OPK's and I don't think they work for me. I don't believe I have endo. I think this is the routine drug my OBGYN used to bring AF to us that lack it. Thanks for you help!
