hello girls... yesterday af came to visit but it was spotting (brown in color) which is normal for me... but this morning when I got up it was still brown in color and very very light actually when I wiped with tp it was just spotty... usually with my period I havea semi heavy flow by now... also I am having kinda sharp pains on my left side.... does anyone know if femara can make your periods like this... I don't know what to think about this just by reading everyone's post I am kinda getting my hopes up that maybe I am not actually on my period... any information would be great...

I see there's another person on here that possibly can't sleep? I would say, if you have an HPT, then test in the morning when you get up. Did this AF come earlier than you expected? If so, it could be late implantation - if it doesn't get heavier. I had late implantation with Ava - on 11 dpo. And if you are feeling that "pain" on one side....could be. I know you don't want to get your hopes up, but I would POAS in the morning. Couldn't hurt if you have one around. If not, then I'd just wait it out a day or two more and see if things progress or stop completely, then get a test.

No my period was right on schedule I usually get my period at cd 26 through 28.... but this is so differant for me... I always am bleeding red and rather heavy by now... I hope this is a good sign for me... when you got pregnant with Ava... did you cramp and feel like it was your period...? cause I feel like this is a perios cramp wise but the blood flow isn't normal compared to every month... I am gonna hope and pray that this is implantation and I am pregnant... thanks for responding I was kinda freaking out I really didn't know whats going on... I went from yesterday all bummed out cause I got af to now I feel hope that maybe it could be ++ I don't have a test but I will wait till this evening and if I still don't have any red flow I will pick one up after to work... thank you so much...

Yes, with Ava I had these pulling cramps low. Got my for you! Let us know.

I spoke with the dr's office and they advised me to wait and see what today broght see if I had red flow and if I did then count today as cd1 if not wait to see what tomorrow is... I am confused... also she said that with femara it is normal to get light periods like this... have you heard of that?

Mine were always normal. I can't remember at this point if anyone, who was active when I was TTCing here had lighter ones.

hmmm.... I don't know I am just confused... in the last few hours I have had spotting on and off some of its been brown and some red but still need nothing more than a panty liner... that is very unusual for me by now I need the wings... sorry if tmi... I don't know what to do I guess just do what they said if blood gets heavier by end of day count as day 1 then if not start the femara anyway?? does that sound right?

I would still test. I had brown and pink spotting when I found out I was pregnant with dd.

how long did it last??? and did you have cramps with it?

this may tmi... but here goes this is the lightness of my flow I put a panty liner on this morning around 5:30 am... by the time I took a shower at 10:30 it was just spotty in places with mostly brown... now at times when I went to the bath room there was some orange brown looking blood... but it has not been heavy at all... kinda like the last day of your period... is this kinda what you had??? I gotta go to work here in a minute and if by the time I get off work I have not got heavier flow I am gonna go get a test... Now should I wait to take it in the morning or do you think any time will be fine?

Buy one with two tests! LOL Or go to Dollar Tree and buy a few of those! Cheap! Take one tonight...and then one in the morning! I'm a POAS-a-holic. LOL

If you're at least 14 dpo I would say anytime that you have stored up urine should be fine. If you've been drinking a lot of fluids then I would wait till morning. I sure hope it turns out to be +! Glad you are keeping us posted.

girls I bought 3 pack pregnancy test it says as early as the first day of missed period is that effiecient enough? I just grabbed the cheapest deal I could find at rite aid..

okay girls took a test... its a bfn... I will try again in the morning if its still negative maybe it is the Femara that is making my period so strange... we'll see...

Hmmm, yeah....let us know what you find out in the morning! We're all rooting for ya. But then again, it might just be the Femara messing with your body.....especially since this is right around the time you'd be getting your period. I mean, with some women, Femara makes them ovulate sooner/later than they usually do......so Femara may make your period a little different than usual. It's hard to say since this is your first cycle with the Femara. But anyway, keep us updated like you have been!

I will definately keep you posted... I figure if it shows up negative again in the morning I will go ahead and start Femara after I get the go ahead from the dr. I got to call them in the morning and report my cycle again. Thanks for your all's support... good luck to you all....

Good Morning girls... well I took the test this morning and it was big fat BFN... I guess its the Femara making my period strange(still icky brown this morning no heavier)... anyway for future reference for anyone who is just beginning femara for 1st cycle you can expect this... I was so hopeful that being pregnant was the reason for it... but its not so now its definately on to cycle #2 with Femara for me...

Okay enough about me... so hows everyone else? oh and has anyone tried the saliva fertility test compared to the opk? I ordered a saliva test(I don't think I spelled that right) The dr's said cause I have pcos I will always show a slight lh surge so I got the saliva thought maybe it would be more accurate... any info girls?

Sorry about the BFN. Shucks! Hope this cycle proves to be better. One good thing is you don't have to have heavy periods while you are taking this stuff - hopefully.
