Default Pg posible with such a thin lining?

SO I went to the OB yesterday. I had only one follie on the left side. It was big enough to trigger for. So we did however my lining was only 4.5 which is really thin and the first time I have had a thin lining. The other two months my lining was 9. I am so disheartened. I have tried to do research and it seems low estrogen is the cause of this which would also explain my lack of ewcm. Any ideas? I am so sad by it and dread living through 2 weeks to wait to get to start all over. Anyone heard of tamoxiphen? That is what the ob wants to try next month.

I have never heard of taxopihen? Is it a pill?
Did they mention anything to you about a estrogen patch? Someone I know on another forum has low lining like around 5.5 and they put her on the patch and within 2 days it was up to 7.5 right where it needed to be so her cycle didn't get cancelled.
Just a suggestion I hope this helps. I know about waiting another 2 weeks, I have been waiting for what seems like FOREVER!! Since Feb!!

I know, I had never heard of it either(I spelled it wrong before, it is tamoxifen). It too, like F, is used for breast cancer. It can be bad to take for a long time because it is known to build up the uterine lining and cause endometrial cancer. But of course taken for a short period of time hopefully it will do what it is suppose to. I should have asked more about the thin endo but was too shocked--since it was not a problem before. Anyway learning something new all the time--whether I want to or not!!! I am thinking af asking to do the inj next cycle too--just go all out. My ins covers infertility so it won't be that much more!!

I am not real familar with the lining thing. I know my OB said it should be between 8-12. My was only 7.65 this month so that scares me. He has me do estrogen pills on days 10-12. Although, I don't know if that helped much this month. Hopefully all will go well. I wonder if you do get pregnant with lining so thin does that put you at a higher risk for miscarriage? I don't know. I will keep my fingers crossed for the both of us!

Good luck with the taxoiphen or the injections either way you decide to go.
Just keep reminding yourself you can get preggers and IT WILL WORK for you again.
FYI-yes having a thin lining can cause m/c according to my re's nurse. Because the lining is too thin it makes it hard for a good implantation. Although I do know women how have had thin lining and everything was ok. It is diffrent for all of us.
Best wishes ladies!!

Femara does help to promote thickening of the lining but if it’s still really think I would ask about taking something else as well to help. I know it its too think the eggie can not implant properly or at all BUT if your doctor was ok with you guys triggering and trying then you for sure have a REALY GOOD chance of things working.

I hope this is for you!!!
