Icon10 Newbie

Hey everyone! I'm new here and starting Femara in the very near future. I'm 25, DH is 28, and we've been married almost 3 years now. We are TTC #1. After a lap, Lupron, and birth control to regulate my cycles, we start Femara right around Feb. 5. I'm sooo ready to get going! I just wanted to introduce myself and hear some success stories. If you or someone you know had great success with Femara, I would love any encouragement. I look forward to meeting yall!!
God bless and baby dust,
Jessica

Welcome to the Femara board. I didn't get PG using Femara - well I did, but I would m/c because I had another problem that we weren't aware of until I had extensive testing following my 3rd m/c. The Femara did help me to generally make 2 follicles each cycle that would mature for O - increasing my chances of getting PG. We have had some great successes here and you can check the Stats thread for some of them. I have several to get moved into the category but with my 2 year old toddler running the show around here, I haven't had a chance or have been too tired by the time she konks out for the night to get it updated. Right now I think we have abou 4-5 ladies from this board that are currently PG.

I hope you will find the support you need here and will stick around and be a part of our very close knit group of ladies!

WELCOME Jessica!!!!

This board is TRULY great....they ladies are amazing and some of us should leave but just can't cuz we love it here so very much!!! Everyone is always very helpful and supportive. We have a very close group and love to help and welcome new faces.

I am currently PG with a Femara baby I went through lots of different thing to get here and in the end was very lucky and found my miracle recipe. I have severe endo and my doctors have told me since I was a teen that if I wanted my own children I would have to have them early in life....well for me that was not an option as I was really not ready and did not want to start my family at the wrong time no matter the medical reasoning (I am 31 currently). Once I was ready I had trouble conceiving and due to that and life changing events it has taking me 6 years to get here....BUT I did make it. I had to have surgery and then went on Femara from CD4-CD8 (I missed CD3 with how my appointment fell and when my CY started), then I had a scan on CD11 to see how my body was reacting to the drug (I had one mature follicle and one that should be by the time I took my trigger shoot), was given the go ahead to take my Ovidrel shoot on CD13(trigger shoot to force ovulation), and then we did timed BD'ing, went through the dreaded 2WW, and after 5 home PG test and final confirmation from our doc that it was real……we were PG!!!!!

I am a huge fan of Femara!!! The side effect are not too bad and it helps thicken your uterine lining instead of thin it like some of the other IF drugs. BUT in my opinion I truly believe it’s extremely important to be monitored on it......just to make sure your body is reacting the way it should and you are getting the right amount of mature follicles. Plus for some ladies it changes there O date and can cause stress that can be alleviated if you are monitored by U/S.

I am very excited for you and wish you all the best...sending lots of and positive thoughts!!!! I hope you find your miracle recipe soon!!! Please keep us posted on how you are doing and let us know if you have any questions.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!
