Default Newbie

Hi, new to this thread and would like some personal experience information on Femara. I am 44 and my DH is 43, we have been trying to conceive since we got married in '04. I did manage to get preg in Feb of '05, but mc in March I then tried Clomid, but after 3 months found it does not agree with me, as I ended up with 1 day very light af(no tampon necessary)(sorry TMI). I just purchased a cbfm and am trying that right now. If that Fails that I would like a back up plan and thought maybe Femara might me my next try.

Thank you for any help you could give me.

Shana- Welcome to the group!! The ladies here are very supportive and informative. At the top of the threads there is femara information. You can find out a lot of things about femara there. I have been through six rounds of clomid with nothing but sickness as well. I am waiting on AF to show so I can start my first round of femara. So, unfortanely I cannot be any help there. But on this thread and many others I have heard great success rates with Femara. Many get pregnant on the first few cycles, of course everyone is different. Anywho- Best of luck and keep in touch.
Blowing baby dust you way!!

Shana! I hope you find this group useful and feel free to ask as many questions as you want! Sheesh, we might even have some questions for you! It's hard to say!

Good-luck with your CBFM! I hope it works! I looked at your chart and it looks like you might be just about to ovulate! It would be awesome if you could catch that eggie this time and not have to even think about moving onto Femara!

Keep us updated on how things are going with you; we love to hear what's going on with other ladies who are TTC!

Feel free to join us on the chatty thread; we would love to hear from ya! And we also have a few games going (Word Association and Person Below Me) that may help pass the time or give ya something to do!

Thank you for the welcome Nessa and Heidi.

Femara sounds like a good alternative to Clomid, Nessa good luck on your first round,

Thanks Heidi, I also hope that the cbfm works, I am giving it until Thanksgiving, then it's time to talk to the doctor about Femara if I haven't gotten my bfp by then. The fm has registered a surge, but the temps are still inconclusive.

My RE did not even mention Femara to me, I am soo glad I found this thread.

Thank you Shannon,
I am glad you and the little one are feeling better. Teething is such a hard time. Although I do have a hard time remembering it my youngest just gave me a beautiful granddaughter.

Hey I can relate. Between me and My DH our kids range from 28 down to 16. We have 7 grandkids from the two oldest. My two are still home and single (21 & 16). Ava is younger than her youngest nephew by 2 years! LOL
