Icon11 New here and would like to introduce myself!!

Well I am 25 my fiance is 27 ttc since jan 06. In Nov 06 my dr finally decided that I was not ovulating and put me on provera to start af and then clomid cd 3-7. I have been on clomid for 4 cycles with no ovulation so I went to the dr on Monday april 9th and he said well I am assuming that you have PCOS so this cycle we are going to start femara on cd 3-7. I got a BFN so he gave me provera to start af. I have also been on metformin since 3/11/06. So I started charting this last cycle and according to ff i o'ed on CD 21 so a hpt would not be accurate on cd 30 which was the day of my appt. So i am kinda scared that if i am pg this cycle ( i doubt it but there is still a chance) that taken the provera will most likely cause a m/c. anways someone recommened this forum on ivillage ttc forums b/c you ladies have some good info on femara!! I was wondering if any of you got bfp with it and if so how many cycles? Also I am having a hard not not being able to concieve, it seems as if everyone around me is either pg or just had a baby!! it is so frustrating. And I am tired of everyone saying relax it will happen or it will happen when the time is right. There are 5 women in my family who are pg right now and it seems as if I am the only one with problems!! I joke and say that I waited to long, I am too old now, b/c almost all the women in my family has had atleast one child by 25, some of my cousins who are pg now are only 17, 18,19.!!
Anyways sorry so long and sorry so down!! Any input would be great. Also how do you ladies get all the stuff at the bottom when you post something??

here is my ff chart - http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/156a26

thank you!!!!

First, Welcome!! Second, My doctor always did the blood pregnancy test before putting me on provera. I would request one before I started the pills. Not only is it more accurate, but it will put your mind at rest.

Also, I completely understand how you feel. I come from a big family and there is not one other person in it that has had problems ttc. In fact that seem to just pop kids out left and right. I don't know how many nights I would go home and cry myself to sleep because another family memeber or friend was pregnant. My mom would always tell me that my time would come and to believe in the lord and his miracles. I received my miracle after 5 years of ttc and am now trying for my second. There is nothing that can make you feel better about ttc, except that you are not alone. Know that we are all here for you and that my shoulder is always open for a little cry.

Welcome to the board.
You know when I was younger I always wanted to have at least my first baby by the time I was 25. I met my husband when we were 23 we got married at 26. So we started trying 6 month after that. Little did I know I had infertility problems. I finally got pregnant and had my daughter at 29 with some injectable meds. Now I am 32 and trying for a second. I would of loved to have had babies a little younger it just didn't work out that way.
My sister had her kids at 19, 21, and 23. So know her kids are are all teenagers and now I have some babysitters. Anyway I think everything happens for a reason, so keep your head up.

Hi dannie382! Welcome to the group! I hope this board is as helpful (and fun) to you as it has been for me! Now I'm probably going to go on and on here... ....so bear with me!

I can totally relate to most of what you're going through too! You can see most of my history in my signature, but you are more than welcome to ask me anything else you'd like to know! As it shows in my siggy, after 4 rounds of Clomid (w/no ovulation), I was started on Femara and got pregnant that first time, but unfortunately miscarried. I am convinced that Femara is a miracle drug!

So, if I understood your chart correctly, you started taking the Provera on Monday, right? How many days are you taking it for? I know Provera is most often prescribed for 5, 7, or 10 days....so chances are that you'll still be taking it by the time you reach cd14. I would probably take another HPT then just to make sure that it's negative. And if it's positive, which would be awesome, I would hurry and call your doctor because he'll probably need to put you on some form of progesterone up until your first trimester. Don't worry yourself too much about the Provera causing a miscarriage if you are by some chance pregnant. But like somebody else mentioned, maybe you should ask your doctor about getting a blood test done before you start the Provera next time so you don't have to go through all this stress and worry!

Now I have a few questions about your charting! I took a look and noticed that your temps are all over the place: I'm not really sure if they are supposed to do that or not. Do you take your temp the same time every morning? After atleast 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep? Orally or vaginally? Do you put the thermometer in the same position every time? Are you using a basal thermometer?

But anyway, just wanted to see if I could help you any and I'm willing to help out when needed!

I started the Provera on Monday 4/9 for 7 days, then when I get af I am suppose to call and make appt for cd 14 u/s and on cd 3 - 7 I am to start the femara 5 mg a day. As for my charting I am taking temps at the same time everyday, orally in the same spot. I think I might change the battery b/c my temps seem really high. Thanks again to all of you who have welcomed me!!!

Danni-First of all a big warm group hug and welcome to you.
I am 24 and have recently been dia. w/pcos on 3/20/07. Before that ttc for about 3 years 1 1/2 naturally and then 6 six cycles of Clomid, so I feel your pain as well as everyone else ttc. I am waiting on AF to start my first round of femara prescribed by my new RE (first time seeing RE was 3/20). I too am very exicitied and believe Femara to be a miracle drug for people I have heard MANY success stories for this board as well another board I post on for Femara(if you want the address let me know a lot of stories/journeys and flash chat with women who take femara etc), a lot of women get pregnant with first cycle or a few after, it can def. work!! Best wishes to you, keep us posted on your journay and let us know if we can be of any help to you. This women here are like a backbone- they are wonderful. So supportive and they are always here for you on good days and well as the bad days.

Keep in touch!!

the website is soulcyster.net you will need to sign in/ create account just like with this site. There many femara women on there with pcos, the one I currently started is femara buddies-hoping that april showers bring may bfp's. Hope that reading through their stories helps and you find lots of info. and support there. I know I have found hours and hours of info (I love she knows as well- dont take personal please) I just think the more info the better right??
