HI Michelle:
Welcome to the Femara board…..you will find all the ladies here totally AMAZING and helpful. I wish you every success with your TTC goals and I hope you get your

very soon.
I am currently pregnant with a Femara baby

I had been trying for 6 years (on and off due to life challenges) to conceive. I had to have two surgeries in that time (3 in total but the third was when I was very young) to help try and keep my endometriosis under control. My doctors told me that if I waiting too long I may not ever be able to have my own children. I was NOT ready till in my early twenties and they told me that with each passing year my chances dramatically dropped but I had to believe that if and when it was meant to be it would be. My last surgery was on July 17th and the following CY I went on Femara and then took a trigger shoot of Ovidrel and we did timed BD'ing....and I got my very first

on Aug. 24th.
My doctor put me strait on Femara as he liked how it helps promote the health of the uterine lining (can help thicken and / or maintain it Vs make it thin) as well as it helps with follicle growth. I did not have to bad S/E's with it.....I had head aches and mood swings but never experienced the hot flashes and nausea. The head aches were more of an annoyance but I have to say the mood swings were the hardest....but I feel the med was NOT fully to blame and that they were part of the stress with everything else in my life as well as all the IF challenges and the dreaded 2WW.
From what I have research Femara is a great drug to help with thickening of your lining, I know Clomid is great at follicle growth but it does coast and thins the uterine lining for lots of women plus I have read the side effects are a lot worse. I am not up on the indictable and how they work in comparison.
Good luck with Femara. I hope you find your special recipe soon!!!! Keep us posted on how you are doing with everything.
