My mom is sooo cute!!!

I ended up getting the afternoon off work as we are in our slow time and so I picked my mom up so we can spend the afternoon together and I DESPERATLY needed to find a body pillow (have NOT been sleeping well this week). We went out for a late lunch and we went to a specific restaurant as I was having a MAJOR craving for there homemade tomato parmesan soup. I was sooooo excited as it was on there specials board BUT when we placed our order they had just ran out.

HOLY MAN I was devastated.....LOL. It’s truly horrible when you are having a craving sooo bad and can not get what you crave.

So my mom asked the waitress when she came back to ask the cook when they would be making that soup again and she told me she would make a special trip to pick me up a few containers of it as soon as they make it

My mom rocks...I never would have though about doing that. The waitress returned and said the lady that makes the soup had left for the day but she gave us her name and told us to call the restaurant tomorrow between 7:30am -2pm and she would be able to tell us. My mom got out her little note book and wrote her name down, the phone number and shift and told me she would call tomorrow and get me my soup....LOL.

I though this was sooo cute and it made me smile, I just had to share it. My mom is 67 and a very typical "little old lady", she gets away with lots of stuff and thinks of stuff like doing this where I would have just tried to come back another day. She is so excited about the baby that she loves doing anything that will help and make me happy. I am the baby of the family as my brother and sister are 14 & 17 years older than me.....sooo this baby for my mom is extra special. My mom is the best....I love her sooo very much.

PS: I can NOT wait to have my soup....LOL....dang cravings anyway.

I know what you mean...darn cravings. I want a bagel sandwich and that place that makes them closes at 3:00. So not fair, ever time I drove up to get one they were closed. It's been over a month and I still have not had one... maybe tomorrow.

What a cute sweet story! Your mom sounds wonderful. You are lucky to have her.

Any word on the immigration status? Does your mom live up in Canada? I know that is probably a dumb question isn't it?

Thanks for asking.....its has not move at all

I am actually starting to get more and more doubtful that it will actually ever happen. It’s so very hard and I am loosing faith....this has been a LONG hard road and truly hope we are coming to the end of it. I just do not know if I have much more left to give to it.

I have come to the conclusion that I simply want an answer, I would love for it to be YES but really any answer would be GREAT as then we can move on and actually start our life together instead of living in a state of flux and unknowing.

Please keep praying for us and keep the positive thoughts coming. I truly feel that they are helping.....I did not think I was going to make it but each day I seem to gain more and more strength again.

My mom in Canadian and we live only 2 blocks from each other.

How is your PG going? Did you ever book your massage? I hope you did, you truly deserve it!!!!

Your mom was really sweet!! Must be great to have her so close!
Mine is in Brasil, so I get to go there only once a year

Well this year twice

But I'm really excited because she will come to be with me for 2 months to see the baby being born
