Default iui today

Well, I had my IUI this morning, keep your fingies crossed for us!!! We really need this to work b/c I don't want to do the injectibles. Regardless, we have an appointment with the Dr. (and we are actually seeing the Dr.!!!) on Thursday to discuss the switch and so they can teach me how to do the daily injectibles.

We are still hopeful that this cycle will work, but in order to get the insurance clearance and meds delivered, we need to see the Dr. well before day 3 of the next cycle.....

2ww.........again........ I feel like I am always in the 2ww. Why can't the 2ww go as fast as the time inbetween?

Thanks!!! It really has to be my cycle b/c DH said NO WAY to the injectable meds. He is willing to see the doctor, but at this point is 100% against them. He thinks it is going to cause us to have quads or some crazy # of babies. He also thinks that the meds are going to cause damage to my body/health and that is not worth the risk and would prefer I stopped all medications. That puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on me this cycle, and that doesn't help!!!

So, Thanks for you crossed fingers and other apendages..... from your mouths to God's Ears~

Mary Beth ~Firstly i am praying for you that this is your CY and you do not even have to think about injectables.....But i just wanted to tell you that i totally understand where your DH is coming from, i want to share my experience with you, with absolutely no intention to sway your decisions, mainly to let you know i understand your concerns, and where i am now... About 7 yrs ago I was against ANY medication, as i felt pregnancy should happen naturally and i was scared what the meds would do to me.... after talking with my OB i decided to try Clomid....And it was hard, too hard emotionally and physiically...7 yrs pass we adopted our 2 wonderful lil boys, and i told DH how much i wanted to experience pregnancy, we were considering more children anyway, so i said lets go for it...Well again i had my limits....We tried femara, far better than Clomid, but no success...Now as i felt an even stronger desire for pregnancy this time around, and after hearing and reading the success of Injectables we decided to try it, i have to say i have had no side effects i didn't have with the oral meds, and like i said before, with monitoring your RE will be able to control the number of follicles, i too was scared of multiples as i am barely 4'9inch...even though i tell everyone 4'11...But in all seriousness i would be scared to carry multiples...Now i do know with even 1 follicle I could have multiples, and in the past few weeks my feelings on multiples is changing, if it is meant to be twins, then it's meant to be twins, i would feel double blessed...God only gives you what you can handle, and i am pretty sure he knows quads is a wee bit too much for me

Like i say just sharing, it can sometimes help to hear others stories. I just want to let you know i too have battled the same concerns, and for many many yrs too! You have to do what feels right, and what you and DH BOTH want, as you both are going through this together!

Good Luck MB, like i say i am hoping and praying for you that this is your month!!!

I am to so afraid of having multiples the general fact I just couldn't afford it.
But I have total trust of my doctor. They totally monitor me. When I got pregnant with dd I had one follicle at 20mm and one at 16mm. (Which 18mm or more is when it will "O").
When I started trying again for baby #2. They put me on a higher dose of injectables because they thought of me being 4 years older then before, but the dose was to strong. The doctor called and said he was cancelling the IUI because there were 4 or 5 mature ones at 18mm. And I said good because I would of told them to cancel it. Normally there is one or two mature follicles.
Like Lou said we hope this is your round and you don't have to think about any more drugs.
Good luck.
