Icon9 IUI #5 on the way

well, i started af today, i have been an emotional reck. i am trying to stay positive but this is the hardest thing ever in my life. We were going back and forth on if we continue or if we take a break and we decided to keep on. My dh is so great (thank the lord) through all of this. He is great b/c he has known this feeling for a long time b/c he cannot have children (cancer). SO he really understands what i am going through. So i am so confused but i just want to continue on so we can keep staying positive about this whole process.
My doc says they will do six, so the only the concerning me is that, that means two more, i am so nervous that the next two wont work and then where do i go from there. Finanically we could not afford to do ivf now.
POSITIVE thoughts are what i am trying to focus on.
I really appreciate all of your support
thanks

Erin.... I am so sorry about your news.. I will be saying a prayer that #5 is the lucky # for you!
Has your doc talked about injectible medication? I truly believe that is what finally "did it" for me... I had 3 IUI's with Femara (one resulted in a BFP, but ended quickly (chemical pregnancy) HOWEVER on the 4th IUI we added Follistim with the Femara and that led me to where I am now!!! Just thought maybe that little inform. might help...

I'm so sorry Erin! We all know how disappointed you must feel! Do what you need to do to get rid of all your grief and disappointment.....cry, scream, throw a fit, whatever. I know that helps me a lot better than when I try to ignore it. When you're ready, hold your head up, and start thinking some positive thoughts for this next cycle. Infertility sucks and we experience a lot of heartache that others may not. We gotta do our best to stay strong! Hang in there, girl! Let us know if you need to do some venting or just need someone to listen, ok?

Erin,

So sorry that knocked on your door. with Heidi don't surpress your frustration. Sometimes it's better to get it out rather than letting it well up inside of you. I don't know how comforting this will be for you, but.... remember this: Things that we have to wait a long time for or work hard for we appreciate and cherish far more than the things that come easily. God has this all under control and His timing is perfect.

My IF experience did a lot for me. I have 2 children from my previous marriage that I loved so much ~ yet after going through all of this I found a new appreciation for them that I didn't realize I had taken for granted. Life in general became more precious to me. Now that I have my extra blessing of Ava, I can honestly say that I cherish every moment more with her than I would have (from my past experience with my sons). I know you will too.

and to you sweetie!!! that this will be the one!

Erin,
Have faith it will happen. Just remember we are here any time you need us. Dont forget, you have a DH who loves you very much and in that area you are blessed and any child the two of you will have will be equally blessed.
