Icon10 I'm BACK!

Hi Ladies,
I was here a lot back in 2005 when I was trying to get pregnant. I had done a year of clomid and injectibles to no avail. But then I switched docs and got pregnant with my son, Sam, on my first cycle of Femara.

I just had my baseline sono today and got my script filled for Femara to TTC#2.

I'm nervous and excited and am hoping Femara works as well the second go-round. I keep telling myself that just because it worked the first time with Sam that it doesn't mean that's gonna happen again, but I'm just so excited!

Anyone here have a similar sitch?

Thanks!

back, mrsrittler! Yet another Femara success story to give the rest of us some hope! Just wanted to introduce myself and hope some of the others do too!

My name is Heidi and my DH and I've been working on TTC #1 for over a year now. Most of my history you can see in my siggy! As of right now, I'm on a little TTC break because my husband is out-of-town (he's in the military), but the time is not going to waste! I'm scheduled for an HSG on Monday. I'm excited because it is another step in the right direction, but I'm kind of nervous too!

I'm sure you will be a great addition to our board! I'll be keeping that Femara works it charm for you a second time! Good-luck! Please let me know if you need anything!

Thanks for the warm welcome Heidi! I hope you have success *really* soon. I'm really excited to be starting again and hope it works fast!

I'm sure you are nervous about the HSG but like you said, it's just another step towards that baby, right? ( : Keep us updated!!

Welcome back to you and thanks for my welcome! It's nice to see a success story. My siggy doesn't tell our tale, so I'll give you the Reader's Digest version

About 2 years ago we went to have IUI #1 done - I was on 2.5mg of Femara for CD 3-7 and when we got there my DH's count was too low so it was cancelled.

Fast-forward to our most recent IUI we consider #1. We did this with BCP's, Lupron, Gonal-F and then Ovidrel. I had tons of eggs...6 mature follies at ovulation (many other follies close to those sizes too) and IUI's...all 18-25mm. My DH's count had gone up from 4 million (at our consult) to 18 million on day one and 12 million on day 2...I thought...well with 30 million spermies goin' on in there...they are BOUND to find an egg!!! Well...they didn't...like most men, they didn't ask for directions

So as of Monday, we are not pregnant and I got AF today...so next cycle we're starting Femara because my body needs to "quiet down" or so my RE says...lol. I trust him! I know my body reacts well to Femara so we're hopeful!

Good luck to you TTC #2!!

Hi there!

My DH and I have been trying ttc for 2 years due to his poor SA. We tried IVF with his sperm last fall and it ended up not being viable at 6 weeks. Yesterday 5/8/2007, we did IUI with donor sperm after using femara 2.5 cd 3-7. This is going to be the longest wait ever. What is the earliest you can use a hpt? I have a 7 year old son from first marriage.
Good luck to all of you. While I did not post during my IVF last year, I did read the stories and found comfort that we are not alone in all of this.

Heather

Welcome back to the board! Congrats on your son. Hope that Femara works as well for you this go 'round. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Shannon, one of the co-hosts of the board. I used Femara for 2 years before finding out that Oing was not my problem and Femara wouldn't fix my problem. However, this is home and I've stuck around. My little girl was born after 3+ years of TTC. I'm 41 (40 when she was born) so don't anyone stress over your age! Wishing you lots of luck and look forward to sharing this journey with you!

Hello Heather! I'd like to welcome you to the group too! Whoo-hoo! You had an IUI yesterday? I wish you the best of luck and hope you don't go nuts during the 2WW! Hang in there! In the meantime, I encourage you to post, post, post and we even have a few games going on that you could participate in to pass the time! Just stay busy- that always helps me get through my incredibly looooooooong 2WWs.

Keep us updated and feel free to ask questions! Odds are, one of us may be able to help you out or steer you in the right direction. We've got some smart cookies here.

As for the earliest you could use an HPT, I would try to wait until 14 days after your IUI. (What does everyone else think??) I know it's easier said than done because half the time I test way too early and get extremely disappointed when I see that it's negative! LOL Just wait and try to spare yourself the anguish of testing too early!!!!

Welcome Mrsrittler,
It's great to hear a Femara success story. I hope you have fast results for baby #2...Keep us posted!

Welcome Heather,
Is this your first time on Femara?
Good luck, my only advice is "try" to relax in your 2ww, I am finding it to be the best excuse for DH to pamper me, i love it, i am even considering telling him it is the 3 week wait, just to get some extra tlc..teehee

Again WELCOME LADIES! BEST OF LUCK!
