Icon9 I can't giveup

AF arrived today. I'm so angry.
This last cycle was the last cycle my insurance will pay for. I can't afford to do it by myself.
I do have some left over Follitism for another cycle. I am waiting for one of the nurses to call me back to see if my insurance will pay for everything else.
The nurse did say before that she was pretty sure my insurance will pay for everything but the meds. But I want to make sure.
I Will have to buy my HCG shot but I can get that cheap.
My DH has had it. He doesn't want to go through this anymore.
But I did call him at work crying and once I did that he kept telling not to cry and we would do what we could. So that made me feel a little better.
It just so hard. I don't want to giveup mainly because of my dd and I have another round of meds in my fridge. I wish the nurse would call me back soon.

So sorry you have to go through this! I didn't want to hear this news. Did the nurse call back yet? If she doesn't call soon I would call the incurance company and ask, just so you are setting your answers first hand. Just a thought.

Karen, I'm so sorry. It's stressful enough going through infertility without having to worry about finances as well. Our insurance doesn't cover anything and we've had to put most of my treatment on credit.

At the end of each cycle when I get that BFN I keep thinking that I can't go through this again. It's such an emotional rollercoaster and maybe that's how your dh is feeling. But as soon as you remember just how much you want that little person you tend to pick yourself up and move on.

If the nurse hasn't called you back yet I would definitely do as Laura mentioned and call the insurance yourself.

Oh Sweetie I wish I could say or do something more than send you a cyber hug. Did AF come early? Seems like you were just having your scans the other day. Hope they call with info from the insurance company and keeping my that they will pay for something and you can do this one last cycle with the injectables that you have. Keep us posted. You know we are here for you.

I am soooo very sorry!!!! I hope your can still get some help with the coverage. I know it’s crazy to have to worry about money on top of the entire IF stress. Out medical in Canada is pretty good BUT it does not cover anything to do with IF. I know my DH and I had to have a long talk about what we would be willing to do and how far we would take it before looking into other options.

We got very lucky but I also truly believe things all happen with they are meant too. I truly wish you every success and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks everyone I know I can count on you all for support.
Well the nurse finally called and told me to call insurance. HELLO
The person at the insurance company was clueless. We ended up arguing and her telling me that the prescriptions I get in the mail and the injections I do at home, I don't really do. HELLO (again)
At the end of the conversation she said that I get 3 rounds of meds and that is the only thing with a limit. So everything else should be covered. I said well that is what I was asking you in the first place. What a weirdo.
So I go to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully start all over again, unless I have cysts which that is normal after a round of injectables.
Anywho so I think there is 5 cartridges of Follitism in my fridge. I think I usually use 3 of them a cycle. So I might have a couple left over, that would be cool. I only have to buy the HCG shot at 45 dollars so thats not bad.
I feel so much better.
Oh when I got home from work, dh gave me a big hug and said he was there for me and for us.

So glad to hear you are feeling better today. DH sounds like a sweet heart!

It seems like with the insurance company they don't know if its covered until the proceduce has been done and its billed. Then is you recieve a bill then its not covered and if you don't it is covered, its so silly. We are in the same ball park waiting to see if are IUI was covered this month the insurance company wasn't sure. We have IF coveage but the ladie couldn't tell me what it was for. WTF

We have to pay for our meds and the ovidual shot out of pocket.

Good luck cycle buddy I know your time is coming!

Karen- I would double check on the trigger- my insurance only covers 3 rounds of the follistim but has no limit on the ovidrel. I have bcbswny insurance.

Hang in there- it will happen next time. I am praying with all my might for you~

Karen ~ Sorry i am so late to read your thread....I am even more sorry to hear about your cycle...But as i continued to read i am relieved you will have less than anticipated out of pocket expenses, and that your DH was so wonderful, that always help, as we need them not just physically but more so emotionally!

GL and KUP!!!
