I had been having spasms down in the vag area for 2 days. I assumed it was probably a UTI trying to take hold, since I didn't drink enough water a couple of days. Then this morning I woke up and went to the bathroom to find I was spotting a little. Of course that brought back horrible memories of my first m/c that happened 5 years ago - right after Christmas. Anyway, it seemed to stop so I went about my business, since I wasn't cramping; but then it came back about mid-morning. So I called my doc's office and told them what was going on and that I needed some reasurance that things were ok, so I could enjoy the holidays (they are closing for 5 days). Anyway, they got me right in.
My doc did a pelvic exam and found the blood (old blood) was coming from my uterus, so he took me next door for an u/s. Oh we did find the

with the doppler, but it took the nurse a good while to find it. Got the u/s; saw the baby and the problem. I have a tiny bleed on the edge of my placenta (1 cm X .65 cm). He feels that it will probably heal over the next month and will keep a close eye on it when I come back for my next appt in 2 weeks. Baby was so much bigger than just two weeks ago. He gave me 2 pics of the baby to make me feel better and I got a shot of the hemorage to show how tiny it is. He also said my placenta is across the front of my uterus right now, which explains why it's hard to find the baby's

. It's being drowned out by my heartbeat in the placenta.
So anyway, I feel better mentally and I'm taking it upon myself to make sure I don't pull on Ava or put any undue stress on my abdomin by bending and lifting on things.
