Default Finally!

Well, today is CD37! After a very long cycle with 5 days of Femara, Metformin and baby asprin the whole time, Puragon shots daily for almost 20 days and we are finally here!
I have 2 great follies - one 19 and one 20.5 and a nice thick lining. Did the trigger shot today, DH is coming down with me for IUI tomorrow and we will use his frozen swimmers on Wednesday morning. I am feeling good and am very relieved that this is finally here. Talk about a marathon!
My boss was great about me missing my trip and completely supportive. phew!
I am quite nervous b/c I have to take Heprin shots from ovulation for sure through the first trimester and possibly until the end of pregnancy... You have to inject in your vein and my veins are so bad the folks at the clinic have a hard time getting one and they do it all the time!! Oh well, I'll do what I have to do.
So my test will be 2 weeks tomorrow - June 24th!
I'll keep you posted!
Thanks for all of you support everyone!

Congrats on finally getting there! I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Have they mentioned maybe using Lovenox instead of Heprin? It shots you just use in the abdomen. I am a nurse and I know they use that often these days. Just a thought. Let us know how everything goes!

Congrats, that is wonderful news, I knew you would get there!!
I too do the levenox injections (pretending pregnancy occured~I will be on injections till about 36 weeks). The injections come prefilled and you just poke them in the belly (they do sting but not THAT bad).
Looks like we will be testing about the same time!!

IUI went well. It was kind of weird doing it without DH there - he was on a course up north for 3 days so came down on Tuesday with me but left right after his part and then Wednesday we used frozen swimmers. Anyways, so now I wait. I am on a bunch of stuff now - progesterone, heprin shots (which by the way I found out I can do them in my abdomen or legs - phew!), Glumetza (the slow release metformin), baby aspirin and I think that's it! I feel pretty wiped out from the whole thing and am SO glad I'm not going to the clinic until the 24th.
I hope you are all doing great!

Kim

That's fantastic! You can always joke that your dh was far away when babe was conceived! It's amazing what they can do nowadays. I think back to when I was getting my follies checked when I was going to do the IUI the cycle I conceived this baby, and it amazes me that I got to see him/her before it was even fertilized! Incredible! Hope the drugs agree with you and your wait goes quickly!

I know - it really is quite amazing. Now that I have DS I think about the mature follie I had when we conceived him and that the egg was him! I felt all maternal with my follies.
By the way - forgot to mention - I had 2 big follies that matured and released. Fingers crossed for a BFP of just one
I'll keep you posted!
