Icon5 Femara days 5-7?

Why do some RE's prescribe femara days 5-7 and others 3-7. Is there one way that it works better? My RE tells me to take it days 5-7.

I've only seen the shorter period of time like you are doing when they are having you take a double dose like 7.5 or 10 mgs. Don't know. Is this what you took before and on these days? Do you only have 3 days worth of pills in your Rx?

It seems to vary doctor to doctor.

I agree. I have been on Femara both ways. Personally, my body didn't respond much different either way. I hope this helps...
Best wishes,
Nessa

My RE had me take 20mg on day 3. They are funny like that, one never knows who is right.

The doctor has me on 5mg 5-7 days. The month I got preggo with Alexa I messed up and took them days 3-7. I was just wondering if there was any reason so doctors do it differently.

I know when I was going through my OBGYN taking Clomid, she had me taking it CD3-7, then when I started with the specialist they had me taking Clomid CD5-9 and also like that with the Femara. I asked and she said that each doctor has their own set ways of giving the meds and it really didn't make a difference.
