I took Femara this cycle beginng on cd 3 through cd 7. On cd 13 I went to Docs for an US I had 2 follicles, she said my uterine lining was good and thick but she wanted me to wait to take the hcg injection on cd 14. So thats what I did. I also used OPK and on the cd 15 it showed an LH surge. (? will and hcg injection cause false OPK?) Another question I should have ovulated by cd 16. Does anyone know if you cramp after ovulation like your gonna get your period? I am cramping and my breast are tender. Any information would be great...

I don't know about the false result I don't think it should be false. I do know once you get the shot it would be about 48 hours after that. When I got Preg. in 2003 I used the HCG injection then I was told to come back two days from then for a IUI which I did and I got Preg. So that should be right on day 15 that you had the lh surge. Also I feel crampy when I "O" but everyone is different. Are you doing an IUI or just plain intercourse.

- Aug. 17th 1st beta test 462 ****Miscarried - ectopic pregnancy 9/9/07 Lost right tube.
*3rd Round, Oct. '07 - Follistim & Hcg shot w/IUI-10/28/07 ** ended in chemical pregnancy 11/07
*4th Round, Feb 25th, - Follistim & Hcg shot w/IUI - Cancelled due to many mature follies.

Yeah, you can't do an OPK with an HCG shot - the reading isn't correct. The reason for the shot is to do what the surge would have been doing - triggering the ovary to release the egg. You should have O'd 36-48 hours following the shot. Hope that Helps! Glad to have you with us. Hope you stick around and let us get to know you. We are not doing IUI... The doc told us to bed at midnight the day I took the shot, and then the next 2 days... I will introduce my self with a new thread... I am so happy to have someone to turn to that is going through the same thing...
