Doctor finally called.......

I am NOT pregnant. I can't believe it. I thought for sure I was with all the positives I had. I am a little disappointed and a little relieved. I really want to lose some weight before I get pregnant. Thank you all for dealing with me through my wait.

WHAT!?? How can you get so many +HPTs then??? That is so odd! I'm glad you're not too disappointed though!

That's what I thought, but he said that the blood test was deffinately negative. When I asked about the hpt he said that sometimes people get a false positive if they leave to set to long. He said after 7-10 minutes you should consider them void. I admit that the first two I left for awhile before I checked because I go busy and forgot. The other positives were faint, but deffinately there after a few minutes. I just don't understand it. But either way I am not pregnant.

Shucks!!! Glad you are having such a good outlook on things however. Now you can join us at the shape-up board for a little while to get those extra pounds off and be healthier when you do get your real

Oh i am so sorry Jen, i have neer heard of false positive HPT.
Good luck with the weight loss, i feel many of us are in that "shall i lose some weight first" boat...GL girlie!

I figured since I wasn't getting pregnant any time soon, it seemed, might as well lose some weight in the meantime, it might even help! Keep thinking positive girl!

My mom keep getting negatives when she had blood test's done for months, she was around 3 1/2 months before she got a positive, that was with my older sister. Some women will a + with a hpt but not a blood...just a thought. Good luck losing that weight!

That is funny that you say that......when I got my first bfp in 2004 I got one on a hpt and not the blood. Another two weeks went by and I went to the doctor to get a shot to start my next cycle. They always make you take a hpt before they will give you the shot and when she brought that test in it was a very dark bfp. I couldn't believe it, so they took me down for a sonogram and what do you know I was, lol. At nine weeks I lost that pregnancy and I am scared to death that might be what is going on with me now. Did you mom have any complications? Has anyone else had this experience? Thanks for all the support everyone!!

I have a friend that never showed a + HPT or office PT for any of her pregnancies. And she had her AF all the way through the pregnancies as well - bummer. But she was tiny-boobed and when she would get PG she would balloon up top. She would have to make the doctors do an u/s to prove to them that she was PG - because they insisted that with a period and no + HPT there was no way - but they found out otherwise. Her pregnancies were all normal - all 5 of them.

WOW, that is so odd. I will pray that nothing like that (m/c) is happening to you. I would insist that the doctor's give you a u/s if you think that is what may be happening. Im glad to see your spirit is still high. I will thinking about you!! Hope and pray all works out.
