Just wanted to post a quick thread and see if you were lurking about and could give us a report on how you are? Hope the bleeding has stopped and you will be getting to see someone soon, if you haven't already. Give us an update.

Sorry to keep you waiting, ive been taking things real easy and laying down a lot. I still have light brown spotting off and on but i wish it would hurry up and stop. From what i hear, its normal for some women to bleed in the first trimester and it looks like thats how long i'll be spotting. I called my ob/gyn and talked to the nurse and she told me that everything im experiencing sounds pretty normal. She said the (bleeding) then spotting was probably from implantation and that the blood had layed in my cervix and is now coming out thats why its a brownish color. ?? I've heard of implantation bleeding, but..... i dunno. Anyways, i dont have any cramping or anything so i guess thats another good sign! I have developed what they call a 'pregnancy rash' and it gets pretty itchy at times! My drs appt was for Jan. 8th but i had it moved to Jan. 3rd. That will be my first prenatal visit to my new ob/gyn. Once i see the little bean i think i'll feel a lot better! I wont be going to work anywhere until after i have the baby, we think thats for the best at least right now while im still spotting and DH is waiting on me hand and foot, he wont let me do much of anything at all(which is ok!) I havent had any morning sickness but a couple of times ive felt just a tiny bit queezy(sp?) I have felt some funny little pains, well they dont hurt, just kind of an achyness i guess i could say. Is that normal? Would it be the baby/uterus growing? Im 6 wks. (as of Thursday). The first time i was pregnant, i dont really remember what i felt, that was like 16/17 yrs ago! In Feb. i was pretty nauseous and my bp shot up real high! And the symptoms i have now are different, hopefully thats all a good sign! So, does the 'weird' achyness sound familiar to any of you? Please let me know......every little thing worrys me! lol (and ive recently been having some slight dizziness off and on.)

Yes, the achiness you mentioned is probably your uterus stretching to make room for the increasing fluids and for baby to grow. Amazing how something so tiny can already require the uterus to make room! LOL

Glad they moved up your appt. That makes it much better. I hope you will be getting an u/s so you can see your little one safe and sound. By then you may even be able to see the little heart beating away. I had spotting off and on through my 1st trimester with Ava and I totally freaked out each time - because of all that we went through before conceiving her. It's normal for you to worry, after waiting so long. Glad your DH is taking such good care of you. DH and I had to take a sexual hiatus the first semester just as a precaution - no stimulation, no nothing - but that was ok with us, because we didn't even want to chance anything. At the end of the 1st trimester we got the go ahead, but we were still very cautious. Anyway, thanks for the update and I can't wait for the 3rd to get here. I'll be out of town that week, but hopefully I can borrow a computer and check in on you.

I am so happy to hear things are looking up for you. REST up lots and let your DH continue to help like he is. What a sweetie.

The strange pains are very normal. It’s crazy how much and how quickly your body needs to change and the little pains, aches and strange feelings we get. I know I have gone to the doctor on many occasions in a panic due to some of them and every time my doc was FABULOUS and eased my mind every time. There are things that your OB will I am sure go over to watch out for but everything you have described has not hit any of the danger zones if that makes sense.

I know I had bad bad cramping but no spotting in my first trimester and had to take it supper easy but all turned out well....I am sure your little one is finding a nice place to snuggle in. The spotting is normal and the color you are describing is very normal....some refer to it as "old blood".

The dizziness can be many things....I know I still have it and some days its supper bad. You just have to be careful when getting up from a sitting or laying down positions. Make sure you drink LOTS and LOTS of water and if you need have something to steady your self till your equilibrium adjusts to the standing position.

I can NOT wait to hear how your appointment goes on the 3rd. Good luck girly!!!!

REST REST REST!!!!

Thanks ladies! Yes DH is being an absolute sweetheart! Thanks for the info on some of the 'strange' little feelings i keep getting, Thursday just cant get here soon enough! I will be exactly 7 wks then. I'll breathe a little easier once im past the 12 wk mark! DH and i have decided that im definitely going to be staying at home until after the baby is born, which is really good because i dont need to be doing any heavy lifting while im pregnant. Who knows, i may just be able to be a stay at home mom(which i would TOTALLY love!) or maybe work part time. For now im just going to kick back, take it easy and enjoy this pregnancy! I'll post and let ya'll know how my appt. goes on the 3rd. Wonder if he'll give me a little pic of our 'bean'? DH wont be able to go with me because he has to go back to work, he's been laid off for a wk. and a half. Hope he gives me a pic!
P.S. im drinking so much water i think im getting water logged! lol

Shannon i dont know how you kept from going crazy with the spotting through the first trimester. By the looks of things thats what im going to be doing. When i first saw the blood i got that tremendous fear and almost starting crying, remembering what happened the last 2 times, it was awful! Im glad i got ahold of my ob/gyn right away( and he was really great about everything!) He said if i started bleeding like i was having a heavy AF and or cramping to get the hospital right away. SOOO glad i switched ob's! How are you and your little bean doing?
Everybody: how are all of you doing?? I need to catch back up again!

Sorry ladies, i've been getting a lot of bed rest! lol. My appt. went pretty good even though the ultrasound 'wand' (transvaginal ultrasound) was pretty messed up. The dr said it needed repaired. The 'wand' kept throwing shadows everywhere making it very difficult to see anything, the dr and i were both getting pretty peeved! We did manage to see the nice big sac and we DID catch a few glimpses of the babys heart beating away! We he ordered my labs they came back the next day and everything is right where it should be. He had originally ordered a 2nd lab to be drawn on saturday(48 hrs from the first one) to make sure that the numbers are increasing. I will get those results back tomorrow(Monday). Kinda nervous but i think everything will be ok. What did kinda shake me was that early the next morning(sat. morning) at around 3 a.m. i woke up and had to go to the bathroom and discovered that i had a little bit of blood again(at this point i hadnt spotted for about 3 days) so i went back to bed and when i woke up later i called the dr and talked to the nurse and she told me it was most likely from the vaginal ultrasound and not to worry. Today i am done spotting so YAY!! Scares me everytime! But, from what the dr. said when we did the ultrasound was that everything looks just fine so far! He did tell me that im not quite out of the woods yet until i hit 12 wks because if i were to m/c it would be within the 12 wks., generally. Of course i already knew that from past experience but he usually gives this info to all his patients and also tells them to just take it easy, SOOO thats what ive been doing! Plenty of bed rest. Just glad the spotting has stopped again! Although i heard that was pretty common in early pregnancy(1 out of 5 women bleed or have spotting, never knew that before.) But anyways, me and the baby are doing fine so far, thank God!! I almost cried when i saw the babys heart just a beatin away--SOO RELIEVED!!

Carolyn - WOOO HOOOO.....that is so great that everything is looking good. I am so happy you got to see that blinking little heart!!!! Sorry the U/S was not the way it should be though...how frustrating. Keep us posted on your next blood work results!!!! I am truly happy things are looking so good.....keep up the rest and fluid intake. PLUS keep talking to your little bean!!!!! I had my DH put his hand on my belly, kiss my tummy and tell our little bean that it was not time to come and that he/she needed to find a nice place to get snuggled in.....LOL.....seriously I did this at the beginning. BUT it worked
