Back from L&D...again!
Last night was my first birthing class. I should have known not to go, that something would happen but I ignored that small little voice. earlier that day I notice my cell batteries were running low and for I keep thinking" I should charge it" I usually charge it at night only, so I held off. TMI but I had two BM and normally I have to drink fiber to even have one, and I had not had that special drink of the day yet. While at class the instructor was handing out bags of ice, she while giving instructions on how to breath through a contractions...I had one. She looked at me and said "oh no Haras, it's not time to begin yet" I replied yes I know, but I am having a contraction. The look on her was priceless as she told my mother "Oh, then you should not be doing the exercise, take that ice from her" and so my mother did. I looked at the women and informed her that the ice was distracting me from the contraction to which she said "HURRY,give it back to her" if I was not having contractions I would have so laughed at her.
Any way they keep were in nice rhythm so off up stairs to L&D I go. I got hooked (again) and one hour later they were still coming every two mins but were did not last very long, it was still enough to warrant a shot of trunb(sp?). Oh joy is me they stopped, my heart was a racing, but they stopped...FOR ONE HOUR. That's right, those darn suckers started again, only this time they were stronger and lasted longer. The contractions were now in full swing building up...here comes the nurse with shot # two, this time in the other arm. I had to get hooked to an IV, thankfully it only took one time.
Finally the contractions stopped again, and I was able to go home, at 1:30 in the morning, this all started at 8: that evening. I am now back on strict bed rest. On Monday my OB had changed it to modify bed rest. I was informed that I am NOT allowed to go to anymore birthing classes and my excursions to Fred Myer has come to an end...D@%^!
Here is the funny part...as i was leaving, the trauma nurse attending to me said "don't worry hon, we'll see you back here a couple more time before you actually deliver...wonder what that means?
Needless to say I did not get much sleep last night after both shoots, and I am STILL WIRED. The only good thing is I was able to talk my way out of the hospital and back home. Hoping and praying that I can hold off labor for 5 more weeks!!!! Wish me luck ladies...I'm gonna need it.
