2nd round a bust

Well first round of Femara i think i may have Oed but I cant prove it.......the b/w done way late showed no O of course. I took 5mg 3-7 that round. This time I took 5mg 2-7 and follie scan on cd14 which showed no mature follies.......my chart however is doing its own thing. Not sure if my cycle is over or if i still got a chance. I am on cd16 now. Anyone O real late with Femara?

I am not good with charting but did you ever get a postive OPK?

Anyway Ovidual is the shot to make you O, its simalier to the HCG shot and sometimes called the trigger shot. Are you using the HCG shot? Its suppose to reasure that you O within 24-36 hours after the shot is given.

This is my first time on Femara and I started my OPK's on CD12 and got a +reading on it. So I went in and had a very mature follie, so they did the hCG shot. When I was on Clomid, I didn't O until nearly CD16. Good Luck!

I am not too sure as I got extremely lucky and only had to do one CY of Femara. BUT I also did the scan and then took an Ovidrel shoot (HCG - Trigger to force ovulation). This took all the guess work out of it and my DH and I knew when to BD to make sure we were covered and could possibly catch our egg / eggs. We had success with this and it was our miracle recipe (The doctors had told me for years that I most likely would NOT be able to have my own children due to my severe endo....but miracles do happen in gods time....hang in there girl)

If this CY is not yours maybe talk to your doctor about adding a trigger shoot into the mix.....I hope you do not have to take the next step. I hope you find your miracle recipe soon!!!

I really think they checked you way too late. Of course they should have been able to see a corpus luteum from a released egg, if you had released one on your own. My do always started scanning for follies on cd11 or 12 and I generally always O'd by cd14. Hope they just missed it and you got it covered on your own. What cycle day are you on at this time?

I might have mentioned this before, but since I'm on Femara unmonitored at the moment, I asked my RE how he knew for sure it was making me O. He said if I have sore, full feeling bbs around that time, I was O'ing, which I did have. Hope that helps.

Just curious... are all of y'all going to a Fertility Specialist or your OBGYN? I guess I just thought it was common procedure to do the follie scans and monitoring while on Fertility meds. The only time I wasn't fully monitored was when I was still with my OBGYN.

Where I live there is one fertility center that services a population of about 700,000 people, insane I know! So because of that, once you finally get in, about a 4-6 month wait, they try the basics on you first, since all my and dh's tests came back fine. Now since that hasn't worked, they will try something more, where they will monitor me. I go on Tuesday!

I think I lucked out with the Specialist situation. My doctor referred me to one specialist and when I called there was a 5 month wait, and they asked if I would mind seeing another specialist that had a cancellation and that appt. was the next week.

Well My OBGYN is a fertility specialist so I got lucky

When he did just the Clomid, on lower dosages He told me to use OPKs and the progesterone blood test 8 days after the positive OPK. When he upped my Clomid dosage and with all the IUIs cy I had to use the OPK but he would do follicle scans when I got a faint line on the OPK...

I was seeing a specialist. I actually did not know they did the drugs without monitoring as I had been seeing my specialist for over 3 years and just assumed it was normal practice. I lucked out I must say. BUT the other side of it was I though he would follow my PG though to the end but he only does the fertility part sooo that kind of through me. When I first starting seeing him, he did both OB and Fertility but the need for a fertility specialist in our area is so huge he had to cut his ob practice out.
