I am in a serious standstill here.
We have a middle name (or two options) and it will not be a first name b/c we know too many people with this name that are in our everyday lives and it would just be too confusing. So, now i have finally found a name I love...but it is sort of a special name for a girlfriend of mine who is still holding out hope for a daughter (has two boys) and I really don't want to take it if I can come up with something else. (She said she had no claim to it, but she also said they'd still use it if they have another one and it is a girl...which is down the road, but I don't want her to change her mind b/c she knows my daughter and it suddenly bothers her. Normally I don't think much about it, but this IS her baby girl name...not just a name she likes. It was her father's name and he has passed away...not just "oh I call dibs" -- which she has never done, BTW...but you see what I mean?
Ok, so that name is Lauren...our middle name is Christine or Christina (for my cousin Chris).
So, what are your suggestions for a first name? Most of you know our last name, so you can sort of fit it together for sound and initials....(i.e., no P names

)
Please give me all that you can come up with -- with these standards...we like "classic" but not boring.
I

Caroline but DH hates it.

And it doesn't really og with Christine or Christina. I love Grace but it is my dog's name.

You get the idea. Something that will sound nice with Joseph. (And NOT Mary. I tried to get DH to agree to Chandler

)
