So, DS was using the potty pretty regularly and consistently at home up until a few weeks when we hit a "potty pause"-- we traveled a ton and used disposables for a week, had a friend visit from out of state, etc. Everything kind of got throw off track and we just had a TON of accidents during nekkie time at home.
Well, today was much better, if not funny. I had washed the potty out last night and couldn't remember where I put it (and hey, it's clear... not exactly easy to find!) and I had just taken a wet prefold off of DS (we were intending on taking a break from EC). Well, he didn't want another diaper on, so I said, what the heck. If he has to go I'll grab the potty.
So it's been awhile, and I'm distracted... folding diapers and picking stuff up... and last I'd seen DS was playing with his melissa & doug wooden food groups set... which comes in these cute little 4"x3" wooden crate things. Well, I look over... and he's sitting on one of them.
Pooping.
I'm thinking to myself... "Do I act excited? What do I say?" Cause it's the same CONCEPT, right?

Usually I say "Yay, you used the potty!" but this time I was struggling not to laugh saying "Yay, you pottied in the box!" And he was clapping his hands, all proud. I picked up the wooden crate and carried it to the bathroom and started looking for the potty at this point (after wiping him ofc).
Well, as I'm looking for the potty, I see him with ANOTHER wooden crate thing, and this time when I walk over he gets up, claps for himself, and he's pooped AND peed in it.

Of course I say "Yay, you pottied in the box" again, laughing and telling him "I'm looking for your potty I promise!" as he's laughing at me.
Anyway, I finally DO find the potty (maybe I should put some kind of honing device on it... I'm always looking for this thing!!), set it down, and he sits down and ONE MORE TIME, yes, one more time, he poops. By this time I'm totally rolling and clapping for him... "YAY! You used the POTTY!!!!"
Just thought I'd share... now off to go disinfect toys

Thank God the "potty pause" is over, now we can work toward maybe going OUT w/o diapers... well I don't think *I'm* ready for that, lol!
