Default Spitting out food

Any of you ladies having this problem with your little one?? Michael will chew something for a while and then spit it out. Even if it is something he likes. He isn't eating much lately either. Can anyone relate or am I the only one?? Thanks!

Jake does this with apples and grapes... it's so bizarre, I'll give him apple and he'll walk around with it, steady taking bites, chewing, and spitting out, so I have a war path of apple through my whole house! (Not a big deal, except our dog found a new home 2 weeks ago so there's not a steady apple-eater following him!)

I don't know why or what it is... I think he just likes the juice, not the actual apple/grape. It's weird!

ETA: Maybe he doesn't want to swallow it because something has recently hurt/burned his throat or stomach??? *shrug*

Pip does it when her teeth are pushing through. Sometimes it is because she gets excited for the next bite and the old one has just got to go.
Also, the concept of biting is pretty fun too.

Logan has been going thru eating spurts. He does not spit food out but he eats less.
