Re: Slow Cooker Recipes
Get a few chicken breasts, put them in the slow cooker, dump in Honey Dijon dressing (yellow and black bottle, you might need 2), let sit on high for 4-5hrs or low for 8-9.
I have one of those busy people's slow cooker guides somewhere---need to find it--it's all recipes with 7 or less ingredients that take 15 minutes or less to throw in. Literally. There's an amazing lasagna recipe in there too. LOL I really need to find it for ya!!! (Don't have the self-motivation as we've moved and can't find our slow cooker!)

Re: Slow Cooker Recipes
I usually throw a few chicken breast in mine with a bottle Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce and let cook for 4-5hours on low.
I will also throw in a few chicken breasts with a jar of salsa and a little water and cook same as above.
I will also throw in a beed roast with potatoes, carrots, onions, celery etc and cook all day!
Can't wait to see what all of you do!

Re: Slow Cooker Recipes
INGREDIENTS
2 (2 pound) broiler chickens, quartered
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup honey
ground black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Place chicken quarters into a slow cooker. Stir together the green onion, soy sauce, white wine, water, honey and pepper in a cup or small bowl. Pour over the chicken. Cover, and cook on high for 4 hours.
***** I usually use boneless skinless breasts. I also tend to use yellow onion because it is what I have on hand. Wine is optional...you could just put in a little extra water. You also might consider using low sodium soy sauce. But all the adjustments depend on the individual!

Re: Slow Cooker Recipes
I just made a ham over the weekend, all I did was place the ham in the crockpot and add about 3 cups of apple juice, and cooked it on low for about 6 hours. It was yummy, and hubby can take ham sandwiches to work all week with the leftovers.
Tommorrow I am making a whole chicken, I just put the chicken in the crockpot, add 2 cups of chicken broth, 1 onion cut in chunks and season it with salt and pepper and lots of garlic. Cook on low for 8 hours. With the leftover chicken and chicken juices I make chicken soup and freeze it.
Another recipe I like to make - Put a bunch of chicken legs in the crockpot, drench them in BBQ sauce and cook on low for 4 or 5 hours. Then I take them out and throw them on the grill for just a few minutes to crisp up the skin and sear in the bbq sauce, very yummy!
Thos are my easy throw in the pot recipes, I could go on and on, I love to cook in my crock pot!

This sounds awesome! What kind of ham do you use? Just a regular oval ham from the refridgerator section of the grocery store?

I just use whatever kind of ham I find in the grocery store on sale usually the big old ham that evetyone cooks for holidays, bone in or out it does not matter, I think the one I just cooked was about 5 pounds. It was a clearance ham that only cost $6, so I was happy with that!
