It is going well. I am getting much better at using my snappi. I like not using a cover when we are home. My dh is still very resistant so this weekend he was is sposies more. We were gone most of the weekend though so I didn't push it to much.
I started dying diapers yesterday, blue and green. They look pretty. I am hoping to get the stuff I ordered tommorrow. My stash is just so small right now. But I am enjoying trying to figure it all out.

Small I went for four months cloth diapering with just 4 all-in-ones and 6 pockets. It was rough! I washed a lot

I think mine are microfleece, they are super-thin and pilly, like the inside of a lot of pocket dipes.

OH and I have pics of diapers now, organized... this is as neat as it EVER gets I promise.

There are... 5 diapers missing mostly overnight ones! (Well, and a handful of prefolds too because we use them for everything) But you can see 2 of them in the pail
The top shelf has prefolds and snappis (left is DS1, right is DS2's)
The second shelf has fitteds... the back rows are DS2's, and the ones in front are DS1's. The ones missing in the back right are DS1's overnight dipes, including 3 Bumkins AIOs
Botton shelf is covers and wipes... left is DS1, right is DS2

You have a great stash going there. I finally reorganized my laundry room. I have a shelf for his diapers. I am looking for a different cover. The whisper wraps are so bulky. Any suggestions? Is trying to make my own crocheted soaker my best choice? Will that even help? His cover was hanging out the back of his shorts tonight. A little frusterating.

I use the pull on Bummis whisper pant

They are super thin, but they pull on....not sure if it is what you are looking for. Lauren weighs 20 pounds and the medium size fits her just fine.

I got one M Thirsties wrap from DiaperSwappers.com, and I have at least been putting cloth on Jaina 2-3 times a day. This is just using some diapers my mom gave me (that she used on us) that I use as burp rags. I want my order to get here! The only problem is that even with one prefold and the Thirsties cover, she is so bulky she doesn't fit into quite a few of her cute clothes... at least I know I won't be doing it full-time, so she can still wear that stuff a few times before she grows out of it. Time to break out the rest of the 6-9 month clothes...

Are those pants any different than the gerber ones? I have some gerber ones that I used when potty learning. I have one small one that I put on at nap time otherwise he has a tendancy to take of his diaper.

Sara, how frusterating your order is still not there. How long are they saying? At home I have been going with out a cover and I like that the best.

This thread is making me wish i started CD a long time ago, but now that jacks in fulltime daycare i don't see the point especially since FH or my future IL's would not use them and they have him when hes not in daycare.

They are similar in the style (pull on), but not in what they are made of. The Gerber ones rip very easily where the Bummis ones haven't ripped yet and I have some that are over 3 years old. They also have ones that are more decorative...not just white...they just cost a few more extra dollars.

Sherisse - Yeah, I don't know any day care that would cloth diaper. Too bad your IL or FH wouldn't do it though.

I haven't tried a Thirsties cover yet! I do have a wonderwrap that I love b/c it's one-size adjustable... so if I go out I can just grab it (need a few more!) and be able to use it on both kiddos. But now, it's more substantial than a BSWW, it's not as thin... it has substance

I honestly don't know what would be thinner/smaller than a BSWW... everything else I've tried is thicker! But they do "poof" out don't they?

Sunny, that's good to hear, as I have 2 BSWW coming with my cottonbabies order. Someday. I also just ordered 2 more Thirsties (since I like the one I have) - a pink one for Jaina and a green one for Reilly. I do need to order more prefolds though I only have 6 coming, as well as two Kissaluv fitteds.... Are Green Mountain Diapers some of the best quality prefolds as far as anyone knows?

Them, cotton babies, and little lions are the main ones. GMD is the big one though and little lions is shut down temporarily I believe... owners are moving or something

YAY! my order came today. They are washing now. My son is sleeping naked. He takes off his BSWW! I need more plastic pants. I did put it on him today and that works much better!

YAY!!!

LOL---we are not above backwards diapering here

You could always try a side-snapping cover if it gets to be a problem. Me, I just put a onesie on if I need to

I put an infant prefold on Nicholas this morning. It seemed awful small but I love the trim fit. We will see how much it can hold.
