Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
Cutie pie!
Norah is doing great. She is about 28 lbs and acting like she is in control of the house now. She basically gets her way or nothing, which is NOT good. I am at my wits end with her temper tantrums but other than that, things are good! LOL!
I have a feeling she is about to start climbing out the crib anyday now. Let's pray that doesn't happen yet. She is going up and down the stairs like a pro, but we still have the gates up in the house. As far as eating, she basically eats as much if not more than her 5 year old sister!
The scratching and biting is not too bad anymore but she still has her moments when we take something away from her that she shouldn't have. Lord help me!! I think we are done now.

Aisha, we don't have the biting, but I hear ya on the temper tantrums. Cam throws them like his brother never did! He is quite headstrong and wants his own way. Think it's a 2nd child thing??

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
We are doing good. Parker is right up there with the temper tantrums if he gets told no. We are working on taking away his binky. He is down to naps and bed but not ready to give it up at those times yet. I got his sprinkler and pool out yesterday but he liked the sandbox much more. He's sleeping good in his toddler bed but usually makes his way to our bed around 2 or so. But it gives mommy cuddle time before I have to leave for work at 5 so I'm okay with it.

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
I can't believe the babies will all be 2 soon. They are now toddlers. We are all well. Gus is huge he weighs about 33 pounds. He went in last month and had his adnoids and tonsils taken out and his second set of tubes put in. It was a tough recovery but he bounced back. He still doesnt sleep at night a good night for us is if I am only up with him twice but is ok and I know he wont need me one day to comfort him back to sleep.
Gus will be in preschool 2 mornings a week in September he is so ready to make some friends his age instead of always playing with Gillis, I dont think he knows he is a little guy. I updated the pics so everyone can see my big boy.
Cant wait to see everyones update.

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
Wow, everyone's LOs are getting so big!! Look at all of Gus's blonde hair, what a cutie! And Camdyn, such a little man now! And the hair on Caiti! Sniff, not babies anymore, are they?
Anna's doing great. She's around 25lbs now ... not sure how tall but she's growing a lot! She's still in her crib and high chair, we're in no rush there. She will go in the potty sometimes, but still not really interested. She's eating ok these days, still not a huge eater and not too adventurous with new foods, but she gets a good balance so I'm not too worried. She loves fruit.
She's talking in longer and longer sentences. Like, for example, when it thundered last week, she said, "Dat big boom outdoors. No hurt Anna!" every time the thunder clapped. And she's started singing songs, in her own way. She can do most of twinkle twinkle, patty cake, itsy bitsy spider, etc. She misses some lines but it's so cute! I've been trying to catch her on video but when she knows the camera is on, she refuses to perform of course. She's so much fun to play with, she's really starting to use her imagination.
But she has tantrums too - not too bad, usually when she's tired, it's like she looks for a reason to have a tantrum when she's tired - she'll ask for something she knows she can't have, like a knife, or she'll ask to sit on the stove, silly stuff! And whenever I use my stern mommy voice to tell her no, she will run up and say, "Hugs? Hugs?" like, "I'm too cute to be mad at, right?"
I'm off for the summer now so I'm so glad to get to spend the next 2 months with her!! My mom is still going to come watch her a day or so a week, when she's not away RVing with dad, so that we all don't get out of the habit of mommy leaving for work. So it will be a great balance of having extra time with her, plus a day or two a week to myself to get stuff done. I didn't have that last year because my mom was working full time still.

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
Morgen throws a tantrum too here. usually if she gets told no. she is about 26#, not sure on height, but still in 12-18mo clothes if thats any indicator. she is adding more words, and is going for her eval w/ the ped weds to see if she is where she should be now. goes potty a couple times a day now, usually when either her sisters or i go in. besides that, great eater, loves fruit.
everyones babies are getting so big

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
Taylor is doing great! She is just getting over Pneumonia. She is about 25lbs now. Not sure on height. She looks like she just sprouted up a bit. She has to have her way all the time and throws huge tantrums several times a day. I am just starting her on time outs because she would never sit when told. She is learning how little she likes time outs. She does bite, only her brother though. We have been struggling through that and it happens less and less now though. She is the sweetest little thing when she wants to be. She cracks me up several times a day. She is very girly and loves pretty dresses and to play with jewelry and she is still rough and tumble with the boys. Her vocabulary is growing daily and I am no longer worried about her speech. I cannot believe she is nearly two. It saddens me that she is no longer a baby. I am so excited to see what kind of person she will be. I love her like crazy.

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
Everything is going pretty good in our world. Had to take Austin to the pedi yesterday for his ingrown toenails (the bain of my existence) and he's up to 37 lbs and he's wearing a 3T/4T. He is still growing like a weed and his language has really taken off over the past couple of weeks--using 2 or 3 word phrases and adding new words. He's infatuated with trains, trucks and buses and loves to go swimming. He just got back from 15 days with his grandparents and although it was touch on DH and I to have him gone that long, the IL's really loved their time with him. His hair is bleaching out from the pool and he looks like a little sunkissed surfer dude!

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
WOW everyone is getting so big! I love seeing all of the kiddos! It's been such a long time and time flies! Well Joshua is a little troublemaker! lol he loves to sing and dance and he's not shy at all! Just last night we went to a baseball game and he was on the big screen! Anyways, he's been trying to talk but his words aren't very clear right now and that worries me but I'm gonna give it a little more time, he started to say " l love you" but not that clear. He babbles alot! he likes to try and repeat what I say. He knows a lot more sign language! he learns it so fast now! I record signing time for him.
We finally got rid of the bottles!!! and we are moving on to potty training! Also I got some news!!!
We are TTC #2!! I'm excited and scared! lol but we'll see what happens, I will update you all as soon as I find out if I'm preggers or not.
I will post some pics up soon, my internet is being slow because of the computer virus we got but I will post some soon.

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
So wonderful to hear from everyone! Wow...Ali! 37 lbs...that's amazing! Sam is doing very well and DEFINITELY throwing his fair share of fits (defying the 'second born' rule). He is very strong willed and wants what he wants. I've been using time-outs in his crib, but I need to start doing them on the floor or the couch so he learns to sit even without his crib...which I think he's almost too tall for.
He's a slim-man at only 26.5 lbs...much taller than he is thick. He's in mostly 2T shirts and 18 or 24 month shorts. He's Mr. Bigfoot still with 8 XW's.
His speech is 'progressing' I would say but probably not where it should be. He has only combined words a few times and is very hard to understand. But, I notice he really tries to repeat what we say now and his comprehension is soooooooo much better than it was.
He loves to sing (and sings songs in 'Samspeak' as my dh and I call it) and dance. He's is also a water FANATIC! We've gone swimming almost every day this week. This little dolphin has NO fear of the water...so I'm left chasing him around so he doesn't drown! Oh yeah, and he LOVES to build things with legos and blocks. He's really good at it. Also...I'm 99% positive he's going to be left-handed like me, my mom and my brother. Go Southpaws!
Can't believe they're almost 2!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
Hi girls! Brynna is still a peanut...about 23 pounds, I think. She eats great though. She is talking waaayy more and I love it! I just love hearing her little voice. One thing I've noticed about her language, it's like she totally skipped "baby talk" since she was a later talker. There is no "wawa" for water. It is very clearly, "water." And, you know how most kids start out saying "me" this or that. Brynna has always referred to herself as "I." She says, "I done." "I fixed it." "I got it." and without a doubt her absolute favorite saying right now is "I did it!" It's so sweet! Anytime she does anything by herself...buckle part of her carseat, put on her shoes, comb her hair, pee in the potty, etc., she shouts out a big "I did it!" and claps while jumping all over the place! She has started calling more people (other than just the immediate family) by their names.
She is such a cuddle bug!! Ever since I got back from my trip, she's been latching on to me for dear life. I love the big hugs! She is still in her crib, but we did add a pillow for her about a month ago...it's pretty flat. I'd really like to take the paci away within the next week or so too...but again, I think being away from her for a couple of weeks made her even more attached to it.
She still uses the potty, but has lost the extreme interest she had at the beginning of the summer. (Again, it doesn't help that I haven't been around to work with her.)
You can always check out new pictures on my blog.

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
WTG Morgen on using the potty!! Taylor reminds me a lot of Cam--minus the girly part, of course. LOL And I'm loving her sunglasses.
Tera, we were just laughing about Cam's fav phrase being "I did it!" He says it all the time!
I am loving reading all of these updates!!!

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
I can't believe that our sweet peas are almost 2! I'm not sure where the time went, but it doesn't seem like 2 years since we were all posting about wishing our babies would get here already!
Audrey is doing fabulous! Add her to the "kind of interested" in potting. She tells us about once every other day that she wants to potty. I really haven't pushed her to use it, just letting her do her own thing at this point. I think I will wait until she is 2 before we really start "training" .
She is 26 lbs and I'm not sure how tall - but we need 2T pants and they are getting to be almost too short... she is tall and skinny!
She talks up a storm - I don't understand 50% of it. But she is progressing well. She surprised me the other day, just joking around I asked her to hand me the Blue crayon and she did! So I asked for the red crayon and she gave me red! Could have been a fluke - but I think that she has really been paying attention to the things that Vannessa does.

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
Grace is doing well. She's very long and lean. She's also a little chatter-bug. She carries on a conversation and amazes me at how well she comprehends things. Yesturday we were out in the yard and she came over to me and grabbed my hand while saying "show, mommy, show". So I walked with her and she showed me a spider web. Then she said, "Spider home. Spider eat bugs. See, spider legs". I have no idea how she knew all that.
She's a little stinker. Today I sat her in time out because she kept kicking me while I was trying to change her diaper. Well she kept saying "Mommy be happy...go ahead, Mommy be happy". It was all I could do to keep a straight face.

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
I love reading about these babies... who aren't really babies anymore! WAH! Kaia is SUCH a textbook baby of the family. All of her siblings try to make sure she's happy (probably they just *really* hate the screeching and screaming that comes along when the little diva doesn't get her way)! She's hilarious, she loves shoes... and will put on any that are laying around (and in a house with 7 people in it, there are always shoes laying around) She loves to eat, but eats much better when we are having a family dinner in the dining room.... she doesn't try to get up and run around then. (We've just finished baseball season, which kinda ran havoc over our evening schedules!)
She is SO tall and skinny. I don't know what I'm going to do when it's time for long pants again... she's wearing the same shorts as she did last year (6-9 month) because anything over that in size slides right off her hips! (I wish I had the same problem, but alas, my hips hold up my pants just fine.) She loves to read books, play in her wading pool, and she'll still swing as long as someone will push her.
She's great at temper tantrums, biting, throwing things, and making huge messes as well. But I love her, can't help it!

Re: Sweet Pea Updates!!!
Daniel is 21 onths today and doing great ! I am going to go get him weighed today as I am curious to see if he has gained but he has stayed in the 30lb range for what seems like 4+ months. He is tall too, I would guess at least 34". Maybe more, I will find out later today.
I am still concerned about his speech. He still uses the same handful of words he has had for months. Mom, Dad, Ryley (dog), yes, no, more, go etc... he will repeat stuff if he feels like it but not reliably on command. He also talks in his own Danielese non stop chatter. A friend of mine has a son 2 weeks older who talks like a 5 year old so it is so hard not to compare. : (
We haven't started potty training yet, but I have had the potty out for a couple months. I just haven't seen him take much interest yet other than taking it apart and standing on it.
He eats pretty good most the time, but the veggies are a challenge. That reminds me, I think I will start a what is your pea eating thread to see what everyone is eating these days !
We bought a small RV and are going on a trip next week which I am excited about, other than that..well I am 26 weeks along now and starting to feel it in the heat !
