Default Do you think it's weird...

if I give Olivia my breastmilk? Even though everyone had told me not to, I've been pumping. Keep in mind that I'm a very high producer - my body literally makes enough for twins. As soon as I got home from the hospital, my milk came in like a Mac truck and I pumped for relief. I mentioned giving the milk to O, DH wasn't sure if I should. He wanted me to ask the dr to make sure it was safe - like are there hormones and things in it that are good for infants, but not for an 18 mo old? Also, keep in mind that she was breastfed until she was 14/15 mo so it hasn't been that long. Anyway, pumping somehow gives me a little bit of control over this out of conrtol situation. I checked into donating it, and if my supply keeps up I may investigate more in another few weeks, but I don't think I'm a good candidate. First, I read for one of the banks that you have to be Rubella immune, which I am not. I have had the shot twice and it just doesn't take with me. Second, I am taking "drugs" right now. Not even daily, but I have taken Ambian and Xanex. Plus I plan to ask the doc tomorrow about getting back on Zoloft. Anyway, back to my question... do you think that is weird? More importantly, do you think it is safe? I just gave her her bottle before nap and tried it for the first time. I wasn't sure if she might reject it as it's been a while, but she drank it all down and seemed to love it. It made me sad, but happy at the same time. What do you think?
