Icon13 Wonky cycles???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am v confused.... I had my LMP on 2 February and began Clomid on CD2 til CD6 at 50mg. We BD'd every other night from CD10 and I got a +ve OPK last Saturday (17th Feb).

Then this Saturday my AF came so my cycle was only 22 days long. I've never had such a short cycle. After my initial disappointment, I decided to remain positive and begin my Clomid today upping it to 100mg and hoping it would do the trick or increase my LP phase maybe making this cycle longer. However, when I read the leaflet inside the box last night it recommends leaving a period of at least 30 days between tablets. I take it that it recommends this 30 day break to avoid over stimulating the ovaries increasing the chance of a multiple birth? I took the tablets last night as I couldn't ring my GP surgery as it was closed over the weekend..

I'm just confused as to why I had such a short cycle and all that BDing was for nothing!!!!

Claire- Welcome; I have heard of an lp defect that can be treated. I think it is treated with progesterone. You should chart your temperatures and use opk's to show your gp what your cycle looks like and they can treat you for whatever you have. Join us on our chatty thread! We do most of our chatting on the chatty thread.
