Hello! I'm no expert, having just started Clomid two months ago, but I thought I'd share my experiences and what I've heard from other posters on this board. From what I know, Clomid should not affect the timing of your Ovulation day. But then again, some women have said that it changed their overall cycle length, either lengthening or shortening it, so if that's the case it may change your O day slightly. I'm really not sure about that. Do you have regular cycles now, and do you know what day you normally ovulate? I think I've heard of some women ovulating on or around CD 13, so your best bet would probably be to start keeping track of your temperature using a basal body thermometer (they sell these in most grocery stores). Try to take your temp around the same time every morning, and definitely temp right when you wake up, before you get out of bed or even move around too much. That's the hardest part for me - remembering to temp before I get out of bed to use the bathroom in the a.m. But, keeping track of your temperature is more something you can do to predict ovulation in upcoming months, since you won't know O occured until after the day after, when your temp increases by at least .4 degrees. By then, it may be too late to BD and get preggo as a result. Have you tried over-the-counter Ovulation Prediction Kits? You can also buy those at grocery stores and they usually predict ovulation a day or two before it happens, giving you a better chance to time BD. I've heard that it's best not to use those first thing in the morning, though, because you can somehow get a false positive. I usually take mine to work with me and do it around 10 a.m.
When I started Clomid, the nurse at my doc's office suggested that DH & I BD on CDs 12, 14, and 16. It might be best to call your doctor's office and ask them if you need to wait to BD until after the u/s. They should be able to tell you for sure and clear up any confusion. The other thing about Clomid is that it can make your PMS symptoms worse. I had more cramping, more headaches, more breast soreness after starting Clomid than in any other month. Whew, I've really been rambling!

I hope this info helps. The ladies on this board have been great, so don't hesitate to ask any other questions you have. Also, there's some great books out there about pregnancy and fertility; when I started ttc, I went to the library and checked out everything I could find about getting pg, and it really helped clear up some questions I had. Best of luck, and keep us posted on how everything goes for you!
