so i finished my provera and yesterday when i went to the bathroom there was a little spotting. then nothing all evening/night. af was in full affect this am though. i am supposed to start clomid on day 5...but do i count yesterday even though it was just spotting or today?

I was always told to count the first day of flow as CD1 - which would be today. I'm sure others have different opinions, though.

Thanks for your help! I was thinking the same thing. I'll count today as day 1!

I also have to take Provera to bring on AF. My doctor said to count your first day of spotting as day one. It seems to vary from doctor to doctor. I was in the same situation on my second round.

My doctor also says that spotting is counted as day one. But I have read that many doctors say day one is when you are actually bleeding.

My doc says day 1 is that in which you have full flow. I found this website:

It has a lot of good info, question #12 deals with when CD 1 is but I really do think it varies by doc.
