I have a friend of mine that is on her first round of clomid (50mgs).....rather then taking the one tablet once a day...she seems to think that if she takes 2it will equal 100mgs a day.....

Now...I know 50 + 50 = 100, but is that the same when calculating medicines?

I'd caution her on taking 2 pills when she was only rx'ed 50mg. If she takes too much, she could possible overstim and that's not what you want!
Also, if she is on 50mg that means she only has 5 pills...if she doubles the meds, she won't be taking it for the entire 5 days and it may end up that she doesn't stim like she should be and the follies might not mature or develop at all. HTH!

I take 2 50mg pills=100 mg a day. I am prescribed that. Encourage your friend to have faith in her doc and that if 50mg is ineffective , as it was with me, that he will move her up as needed. By taking too much she might very well be doing herself a disservice rather that helping her chances.
