Question abt Prog. test on day 23 of cycle

So.... we have sex on days 13, 15, 17, & 19 of my cycle. I took the clomid (first round) on days 5,6,7,8, & 9. I'm supposed to get my progesterone level tested on day 23. Will that test determine if I am pregnant or will it just determine if my body is behaving itself in a way that can support pregnancy? I have an appt with the doc on day 32. I'm assuming I'll get a preg test then. I'm just wondering what that first progesterone test is for. ??

it may just tell if you O'd, i am not completely sure but before i started my provera my dr checked my levels to see if i was going to o before starting the meds.

Ideally, your progesterone should be tested seven days post ovulation. Assuming ovulation at 14 days, many doctors test on cycle day 21. If you are charting, that should provide more information.

The test results just confirm ovulation, though some people say that very high numbers are indicative of pregnancy. My progesterone level with DS was 33.

Hey Tori

So sounds like I'm in the same boat with you. I just took my first round of clomid days 5-9 and was instructed to baby dance days 12-19. Except my doc is checking my progesterone level day 21 to see if I've ovulated. Last month's test unmedicated was a 2.1 day 21 and a .7 day 28, bout as low as it gets I think

So anyway good luck to you, I know I'm praying it happens for me first time!! please keep us posted on your progress and lots of baby dust!!!!!!
