hi

i have heard that the clomid can sometimes dry up your CM???? just bought some preseed and wondering if anyone has tried it?? or heard good things?

I have some but we only used half of one tube on the first round of clomid and I found that I really didn't need it at all. I have tons more CM with clomid but we weren't totally sure I was ovulating before or maybe it was just "weak" ovulation. I am on it for a luteal phase defect. I do take Robutussin, though, to keep things loose.

i am not sure if i am going to use it or not either.... but i have heard about the robutussin... i might try that instead.

what type of robutussin do you use? how much? and when did you start using it???

Hi Jenn, The clomid does cause my cm to be scarce so I started using preseed on my first round. I got a bfn on round 1 and am now on cd 7 of round 2 and will be using the pre-seed again. I have heard good things about it, so guess we'll see. I have never tried the robitussin. I am interested to see what dosage and days others have used it for. Maybe I would try it too. Wonder if mucinex works the same way since it is the same ingredient, but it doesn't taste nasty like the cough syrup?

good luck! i hope this is your month!!!! i have heard of women using the mucinex because it is in pill form - i might try that.

i have to have my fsh bloodwork done this cycle - and i am afraid to take anything that might mess it up - i can't imagine mucinex would - but i think i am going to ask the nurse to be on the safe side - that would be my luck.

i read that some women take the rotibussin - i think 1-2 tsp 3 times a day - and the mucinex is 1 pill every 12 hours starting on cd 5 and stopping once ovulation has occurred.

Thanks for the info. I have a full box of mucinex so maybe I'll give it a shot this month. I don't blame you, I would definitely ask the nurse or doc before taking anything!

I am trying to be more optimistic this month. Sometimes it is hard to be positive about all of this, but I am really going to work on that! Soooooo, Hopefully this will be our month!

Here goes Round 1 of Femara with trigger and timed bd OMG it worked

I have been taking 2tsp 3 tims a day, starting about day 13. The reason I start then is because that is about the time my cm shows up (I O 14th-17th day) and continue it until I see a temp rise that indicates I have O'd. Mucinex is more expensive but to some it's worth the cost. Just make sure you don't get anything with extra letters. You just want the tussin that is just for congestion. The only active ingredient should Guefessin (I have no idea really how this is spelled). Good luck to you both!
