I'm on 50 mg of Clomid, this is my 4th round. Looking at research and information it says you should ovulate within 10 days of the last pill. Is this correct? My cycles on clomid have been 37-38 days long, and my temps usually spike on the 25-26 day. Is this right/normal... it seems that I'm ovulating 12 to 13 days after my last pill on clomid.

Also I heard that you can count back 14 days from when you expect A/F to determine around the time you ovulate. Is this also correct? Right now I track my temps and use the mini microscope... but I never really feel too comfortable with the results. Sometimes I see ferns 1 or 2 days after my last pill of clomid.

Any Help would be GREAT!!!

Luteal phases can vary a bit. Textbook cycles say 14 days. Are you being monitored? That takes a lot of the guess work out of things. Your temps are a pretty good indication!

Yes, you are supposed to ovulate within 5-10 days of the last pill. Ovulation is good though and increasing the dose doesn't necessarily help.

I am not on clomid but was reading your post ... i am in the same boat .. i had a tubal surgery on cd5 of this cycle .. and i usually o cd15-16 of a 31 day cycle .. however my opks were much darker at cd8 then they are now and i am sick so having difficult time temping .. I guess the only thing to do is keep bd until we are positive we oed .... its frustrating not to know .. i feel your pain .. xoxoxo Jess

I'm not being monitored, the Dr. just gave me 3 more rounds of clomid and after this she recommended seeing a specialist.

My temps and cycle lengh are consistant month to month on the clomid. Last month I didn't take it due to HSG test. I really don't understand what is going on... I guess that is what makes this so frusterating. We are going to try to extend the BD as long as we can, but on clomid I get very dry and BD isn't as enjoyable as when I'm not on clomid. (Sorry if TMI)

Never knew that this would become so difficult... the more I read and get more informed the more I realize how much I don't know, and how everything has to be timed so perfect...STRESSFULL and doesn't make for good BD atmosphere!! Does anyone else have these problems!!!! The closer I get towards O, BD really turns me off. I love my DH, but around that time all the stress is no good!!! Any suggestions on how to become less stressed????

Christina have you considered using pree seed while taking the clomid. It is the only safe lubricant that is PH balanced to prolong sperm life . It is a wonderful product . It may help with the dry times and may help the sperm have a better enviornment to swim up in. you can get pree seed almost anywhere online . I have used it myself and highly reccommend it . It may just be what your lookign for. remember KY, saliva, and other lubes will kill sperm so be careful to use a proper lubricant . i hope you o soon ... good luck! Jess
