I hope someone can help me out, I have no idea what's going on with my body right now. I'm about two weeks late and took 100mg of clomid this cycle. I've tested negative on HPTs and today finally had my blood taken, should find out tomorrow the results. If I'm not pregnant, how is it possible that I didn't get my period this cycle? I took 50mg of Clomid last cycle and got my period after 31 days. OPKs were positive both months on clomid and this month I saw a spike in my temp. My doctor looked at me and said that he's almost positive I'm not pregnant b/c my hpts were negative and he believes I didn't ovulate. I then told him that my opks were positive and then he changed his mind and said maybe it's because I started running recently. I only started running on June 25th, my period was due on June 27th. If anyone has any idea what is happening, please respond.

I wish I could tell you why, but I wanted to tell you that I've been there. When I got pg with my son, the clomid at least made me ovulate (because I got my period) and then eventually it worked and I got pg.

This time, I had a couple cycles similar to yours. One was 64 days and one was 54 days and I only got my period because I went and had a shot of progesterone. This time, I took metformin along with the clomid and it balanced out my hormone levels or something like that to help the clomid work.

Thank you for responding. I am very frustrated right now b/c I do believe I ovulated. I wish there was a way to know for sure. Is it possible that I did ovulate and my period is just coming very late? As I said in the original post that I did get my period on time after the first round of clomid and for it to work one month and not the following doesn't make any sense.

I am new to clomid...I just finished my first round of 50mg so I unfortunately I don't have a lot of advice for you. I am definitely not new to weird cycles though! Mine are different every month! I am anxious to hear the results of the blood work...did you say you would find something out today? You said you had a temp spike...do you keep a chart in fertility friend? If so then can you post a link to it so I can take a peak?

I don't have a chart on Fertility Friend, just temped every morning at 8am until I saw it go up, which was when I figured I ovulated. I should probably start a chart next cycle though.

I really like charting b/c it lets me know exactly if & when I ovulated especially since my cycles aren't regular. What about the bloodwork...did you get the results back?

So far I guess I am doing fine...I took clomid 50mg CD3-Cd7. I finished the last pill on Sunday. I am on CD 9 now and I guess I will buy an ovulation predictor kit and start using it around CD 11 or CD 12. The only side effect I really noticed was hot flashes. I took the pill at night so they were most noticeable at night. I feel like I've had a few flashes today too though. I am also taking 500mg metformin twice a day and have been taking it for a couple of months now. I hope the combination of the two will help me ovulate. I just finished 4 months of birth control because my ovaries were very enlarged and had a lot of cysts. I had an ultrasound after the 2nd month of birth control and my right ovary looked more normal...just still a little large. The left one still looked very "PCOS-like". I took 2 more months of birth control pills after that appt so I hope it was enough to get my ovaries back to normal so they can ovulate. My Dr. said they had grown so large that they couldn't even ovulate.
