Default New here. Intro and lots of ??'s

I'm not new to Clomid, but new to the board. I had two Clomid cycles. My first cycle was CD-9 BFN, second cycle CD3-7 and BFP but ended in miscarriage in February of this year.

We haven't been able to TTC again because my husband is deployed to Afghanistan.

He is coming home for R&R in September, and it just so happens that my cycle... (after much manipulating from myself... LOL) is going to line up perfectly! He will get home on or around CD7/8 and be home for about 18 days.

Now, here are the questions:

I am going to be on a Clomid/Bravelle cycle. 50mg of clomid days 3-7 and bravelle injs. on CD 9 and 11 with a trigger on or around CD12 depending on U/S.

I have never heard of anyone doing this kind of cycle before, and I am curious to know if anyone has had experience with it, and very curious to know if it worked!

If it doesn't work this time we have another 9 month wait til he is home for good to TTC again.

When doing this protocol, or any single part of it what were the side effects?

Do you know if it makes it less likely that I will over stimulate?

How likely are the odds of twins or multiples? ( I would like to start with ONE , and work my way up!)

Is there any advice anyone can give me about when to time the dosage of either the bravelle, clomid, or the Trigger?

And finally THANKS fo much for answering any of these questions you can. I'm gonna be hanging around here for a while obsessing about this. I just can't help it. LOL

Hey, I completely understand about planning your cycle around the deployments! My DH is in the AF and has a very aggressive deployment cycle...He's only home around four months a year!!

I haven't heard about the type of meds being given at the same time, but I am really new to this! I just took my last Clomid this AM....

I hope that you do get pregnant. It is amazing what God can do...just remember to have fun BDing!!!!

Hi,

Thanks for replying. It is definately hard to make a baby with DH gone all the time. It's not something you can really do without him. LOL.

I hadn't really heard of doing a mix of Clomid and injectibles either, but it seems to have good success.

I'm hoping so anyway, I really hate to wait a whole 9 months to try again. It seems to be a one step forward, two step backward process. We make progress and then he is deployed again.

I wish you success and a nice BFP this go round!
