Default New to all this!

Hi ladies,
I am Mandy, Dh and I are both 25 we have one dd who is 20 months. We have been trying for about 5 months now and i just got a Rx for Progesterone to start tonight( for 10days) and then 50mg of Clomid to start after that. We got og really easy with DD so this is all soo new to me. I was on about 4 diff types of bc this summer so I think I messed my hormones up something fierce. I went in last week for my blood work and found out I didn't O at all. Well now Af decided to take a vacation too so I have start with prog. Any advice or insight would be great. I also wanted to know where i could find some good, somewhat simple Opks. I ordered some over the internet last month and while i didn't O I really didn't like them. I don't want to spend a bundle either bc I am doubting our insurance will pay for any of the Fert drugs. Thanks again and I look forward to getting to know you all since we are all in the same boat

Mandy - I just wanted to welcome you to the board. I hope Clomid does the trick for you and you get a BFP real soon! I haven't had to take Progesterone so I can't help you there, but the ladies on this board are great and have lots of advice and experience.

BTW, your DD is a real cutie pie.

Welcome!

Hi Mandy- Just wanted to say welcome and good luck! I like clearblue and First Response OPKs. I didn't care for Answer. They aren't cheep though, especially if you are going through them a mile a minute like I did my first round on clomid. My best advice to you is REALLY don't start testing before the date they say to start because it won't do you any good and you will waste a ton of tests. I only used 4 this cycle before I got my +.

I will tell you to make sure you test at or around 2 pm, that is when it is the most concentrated in your urine. I wasted months getting negative OPK tests b/c I was testing in the AM with FMU.

Good luck!!

Thanks for the advice and the warm welcome! Last month my dr had me test opls everydat trying to see if I O'd. When I never got a + they did bloodwork and saw that I really never did O. DO you really have to save up urine for 4 hrs? I don't think I can do that! Every since I had dd I can not hold it for hours w/out it being painful! I am hoping they do bloodwork again this month if I don't get a positive opk, I'd hate to miss it b/c of my user error which is likely
