Default Introduction and any thoughts? (cross posted to chatty thread)

Hello,

I have been reading for about a week and just got brave enough to post. I feel for you guys. Some of you have really been put thru the ringer. Hang in there and many prayers for you.

We are trying for number 4. I had two successful first try pregnancies and then we decided to adopt internationally, so now we have 3 babes. Now that we are wanting a 4th, I seem to be having some fertility issues. I started back the middle of last year have shorter cycles. They went from my normal 27, 28, or 29 to 26, then 25, then the last was 23. We suspect a possible m/c at 5 weeks in December but it was not confirmed because I didn't go to the doctor until about two weeks after. The doctor believes it was an m/c. I also became very anemic (more than usual) after that. I'm now on a strong iron therapy. I went back to the doc again, two weeks ago, after a horried period (lots of flooding, I am always heacy though) and the short 23 day cycle. The doc believes my follies are not maturing, hence the period coming sooner. I haven't had any extensive testing so far. I started that day, day 5, also the 5th, on clomid at 50mg. He told me to start testing about day 12 and then 7 days of baby dancing when I got the positive. I am supposed to go back in a month on April 2nd. He says we will know by then. I don't know what he means but I hope to be pregnant by then. He is going to allow 3 cycles before we do more investigation but says he is hopefull I will get pregnant before then.

I will say that this is the most difficult cycle I have every had, with the trying and trying to get it all right and being worried I am not. The OPK's are stressing me out. I am an obcessive tester and don't really have anything to show for it yet. I am on cycle day 14. I have been testing for about 5 days and have already gone thru an Answer kit and a First Response. With both I had half lines of varying colors, all about half dark and none light, testing in the am and in the pm. I got one yesterday, early afternoon, that was a shade lighter tha the control and full band width. This was the first one like that. It was my last test. I went to the store and decided to get a Clear Blue kit thinking I would have better luck. I decided since I thought I was close I woulg go ahead and take one last night. You could barely see the line. This is the first one I got like it. I looked them up on peeonastick and she says that this one has lighter lines. But then I worried maybe some how I missed the surge. I have also been checking cervical position. It has been really high but not as soft as I know it has been before or very open. Then last night after I had taken the test (the very faint one) I checked super soft and open! I guess it's just the clear blue tests. So I probably haven't reached it yet. I know last year when I tested, one month, I did get a positive on day 14, of course who know what it will be like on clomid. I have been checking for cm too but have just been really wet, with some cm every now and then. I have also been on Robutussin. I have been temping but it has fluctuated a whole lot. Confused there.

We have danced quite often recently. We did the 6th, 8th, 11th, 12th, and 13th. We had planned to start our 7 days from the 11th, though the doc said from postive opk. I was just worried I would miss the opk. Now I am worried DH won't have enough, when it really counts. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! I can't believe I am second guessing everything and having such a hard time figureing this all out. It is so strange how eventhough we have done this all before, more than once, you start having issues and all the sudden you don't know a thing. I'm sorry this is so incredibly long but if any of you ladies have any suggests please let me know. Thanks!- Amber

Hi there!
I am Adriane and I feel your pain with the ovulation predictors...they just about can drive you crazy. Some months mine were right and some I didnt get a reading....anyhow was wondering if your current o.b. has an ultrasound machine in office? It might be very nice to schedule an appt right about day 12-13 of your cycle and see any follicle development. My o.b. does not have one in office (i have to go to an imaging center for u.s. when preg.) but I finally decided to to iui after 5 cycles of clomid not working. It has been awesome being with an r.e. who has you come in to monitor your follie development and then doing the trigger shot. Have you considered any of that before? It has helped me a lot since its so much more accurate.
Good luck to you!!!
Adriane

Hi! I finally did get a positive OPK on day 15! It might have been positive on day 14 but I don't know because I could never hold the pee more than 2 1/2 hours but the line was only maybe a shade lighter than the control. My doc does have a machine in office but he told me to do the OPKs for now. If I don't get pregnant soon, I may talk to him about that. Thanks for the info.!- Amber
