I start Thursday!!!

Ok, so AF came on day 29 (although REALLY REALLY light) and I went to the OB today. Can someone tell me if what he said makes sense? I know a lot of people take clomid 3-7 or 5-9.

He told me take it (50mg) days 4-8, have sex on 13, 15, 17, 19. Then on day 15 to go in 1-2 hours after intercourse for bloodwork (progesterone) and a post-coital check. Then test on day 29. Does this sound right? Any tips for me? We are acually going on vacaion and coming home on day 14. We leave thursday for a wedding in VA, then some time away in Florida. Leave it to us to TTC during a super hectic time!!!

Also, with my working nights (3 12 hour shifts a week from 7p-7a) how do I chart my basal? He said he "guesses" i should do it the same time every day regardless of if I slept, but he also didn't know what to tell me. But should I take it after I nap on days after I work (my longest period of sleep)? Any help you can offer is sooooo appreciated! TIA!

I took mine days 4-8 a few times. Everything seems logical except the progesterone check. Usually, that is checked days after O to confirm that you did O. I would double check with them on what they are checking with cd 15 bloodwork.

From what I understood when temping, ideally you want to check same time each day as a "waking" temp. It will be higher if you are up and awake. Maybe the best is to take it at waking even at different times of day....? The fertility friend online website has a lot of good tips and is free to post temps on. There were times I missed temping because of misc. things and just tried to get as much info as I could. I used OPK's to help pinpoint when I o'ed. HTH good luck!

Just wanted to wish you luck! I took clomid days5-9 the first cycle and 3-7 the second...I am pg now! As far as the temping,,,,I would do like the dr. says and use FF *trace* said. Lots of baby dust coming your way!

Best of luck to you sweety!!! Every doctor is different about when to take Clomid. Some doctors use different days for each pt or for different cycles. Like Trace said everything sounds great except the prog test. I thought it had to be at least 7 days after ovulation? Sorry I can't help with temps. I work 7p-7a and I was never able to chart. It always looked wrong even when I knew I ovulated by u/s monitoring. I use OPK instead. Hopefully you will have better luck.

Does anyone know how much the meds cost? I have no clue if my Rx plan will even cover it!

Jessica, are you a nurse? What do you do? I think i'm going to just check my temp after I sleep, whatever time of day that is. I might get an OPK too just to see what's going on! I'm going to go to FF today too!

I'm not a nurse but a computer tech at a hospital. (That reminds me of the Holiday Inn comercials...No, I'm not a brain surgeon but I did stay at a Holiday Inn. LOL!!!
