I just posted this on the IUI board to so for those who are members there as well, sorry for the re-post.

I am brand new to this site and just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I have been lurking for awhile and have enjoyed hearing your stories and having a place where people are going through what I am.

I am 36 years old and got married for the first time last May. We have been TTC (I am just starting to pick up the lingo) since then unsuccessfully. I saw an RE in January and had all the standard tests done. HSG was normal, ovulating normally, only slightly elevated FSH, DH semen analysis only slightly low on motility and morphology. So, because of my age, the RE wanted to get aggressive. I started my first round of Clomid at 50mg on cd4-8, had IUI on cd16 and am now waiting impatiently to find out the result of all of this. I am tempted to test but my husband is out of town and I promised him I would wait. I feel like every twinge in my body is hugely significant and I am going back and forth between being sure I am preggers to the despair that it didn't work again.

Only this site has made any of this seem normal so I thank you all for sharing your stories. I am still learning how to use the site so bear with me if I mess up. I look forward to sharing this wacky journey with you ladies.

Some women have the ttc lingo down, I'm not one of them. LOL! But the more you're out here the better you get. Good luck with your journey.

Thanks! I wish I was going to be in town on the 27th. The doc told me to do the blood test on my way out of town tomorrow and that they would call my cell with the results. Yikes! Am on cd28 (usually start 26-28) and nothing. I am trying to keep in mind that the clomid may extend the cycle but it is hard not to get excited. Since I won't be able to post here until Monday, please send good vibes to me and I'll let you know how it all turns out on Monday. Thanks for your support!

Thanks again for the good wishes. Unfortunately, no BFP. Bummer. Back to the drawing board. May skip clomid this month and do IUI only.

Hi Laura....welcome to the board. I have only posted a few times but these ladies are so nice and full of helpful info!! I have been on clomid for several cycles and nothing.....what a bummer. I do not recall it taking this long with my son. Hang in there!!!
