Default Have you had any side effects?

Since ovulating last week, I have been having some lower abdominal pains, sharp and fairly painful, but only lasting about an hour each time. I just did some research online and I see that this is listed as a side effect for Clomid, but one that only about 5.5% of women experience.

This is my first round of Clomid and so far, my only side effect. Anyone else having side effects?

I've read that some of the side effects happen when you're actually taking the meds, but that more occur later in your cycle -- during the 2WW.

Yes, I did have this side effect both months that I was taking clomid.

I just started clomid again, after a month break, and am waiting for the abdominal pain to kick in. To me it felt like my ovaries were going to pop out of my body. The only other s/e I have is the hot flashes, but they are very mild!

Good luck! I hope clomid does the trick for you and you get your BFP

I haven't really had any . . . but then again, I'm not really sure I even O'd this cy. My first blood test showed no O, but now it looks like I may have O'd yesterday, so I have to go back next week and check again.

I'm on Clomid and in the day or two before I ovulate and when i actually do ovulate, I can feel it and it's uncomfortable. I've never had that problem before. I also have mild hot flashes when I'm actually taking the pills. And, it may be the Clomid or it may just be that I'm more emotional now that we've been trying for so long, but I get really weepy all the time, no matter where I'm at in my cycle.

I'm on my first round of clomid and had a light stabbing pain for about 5 minutes on CD 13. I'm at CD 21 now and had my blood test today, so I should know if I o'd by tomorrow. For the last two days (sorry if this is TMI) my nipples have been VERY sensitive and sore. Is that a side effect or a symptom of PMS or PG, maybe? I'm still a week away from AF, so I didn't think I'd feel any of those symptoms yet, but who knows? Anybody else with similar symptoms?

On clomid I had the ovary pains, sensitive nipples/breasts, hot flashes and headaches, but I never got nauseated.

I really thought I was pregnant last month, but it was the clomid symptoms I was mistaking for pregnancy

I'm not going to get my hopes up again this month until I don't get my period-it was SUCH a let down.....

OK - I am not trying to freak anyone out - but I am sure it is bound to happen to someone and that person was me. I had a horrible experience with CLOMID 50mg I am day 15 of my cycle - and last week I was trying to enjoy a trip to Fl. to visit my p's. I took my pills for the 5 days cycle day 3-7 on cycle day 11 I started with real bad cramps, i almost thought i was going to get my period again and then Friday I started with a HORRIBLE headache, cramps got worse and I started throwing up, I was a mess all day then Sat. came day 13 and I was finished - it got a lot worse and I started bleeding real bad. So much for that. My husband and I had a 6 hour flight from Fl to Az and it was the worse trip home.

Monday today came cycle day 15 - I called the Dr. and told her everything - she had me come in for some blood tests and believe it or not through all this I FINALLY ovulated, I took my test, well 3 and they came out POSITIVE!! I was so excited I had to get my groove on - well later my Dr. calls me back and tells me she got a 2nd opinion on everything and it looks to be that my hormone levels are abnormal, they were really below what they should be and with that now being said i have another issue to deal with, who knows if it will work if it does my chances of miscarring are VERY high so we have to meet with a fertility specialist in 3 weeks - the Dr. doesn't want to take anymore risks at this point it obviously isn't going to work for me, but on the POSITIVE side lets hope this works after all - maybe I can have a miracle - they are possible. I have been going in for tests almost regulary for my hormones, anyone know why they may change now?? I am going to proceed with my prometrium (vaginal ) and see what happens in a few weeks.

If you have any thoughs please let m eknow and thank you so much for taking the time to read this - Its so good to know there are people that can resemble.

I'm so sorry that you had such a bad time with the Clomid. I didn't have any side effects with the 50, but I start 100 mg on Thursday, so I will let you know if I experience any of the same. Good luck with the fertility specialist and keep us posted!
