Default Good sign...I guess??

For the past couple of days I have been having ovulation like pains on the right side...my right ovary was the one that looked the most "normal" in my last ultrasound so it was the one I expected to have the best chance of ovulating from. Well this morning I started having sharp pains in the left side...maybe I am ovulating from both ovaries? Either way I just hope the pains at least mean that I am going to ovulate. I am going to buy a predictor kit at lunch today and start using it today. I was going to use it while at work since I've read that around 2pm is the BEST time to use them. What do you think? Do I need to hold my pee beforehand? I also read that some tests suggest you go 4hrs without peeing before testing.

Have you ever tried the ovuscope? The one where you test your saliva? Its pretty easy to use all you have to do is not drink or eat anything for 30 min to get an accurate test.

I just started Clomid too... I had my +opk on Sunday. I use the Clearblue Easy Digital opks; they give a smiley face when positive. On Monday, I had the worse cramps; it felt like someone punched me in the stomach. It was painful on both sides so I'm hoping that something came down my good side (my left tube). I think it is a good sign when you feel the Clomid working; making everything fluttery. I still have after effects of fluttering; very faint compared to Monday, so I'm keeping hopeful. I'm dpo3; we can wait together.

Let me know how you're feeling. I'm very bloaty! But it's worth it.

DJ~

I haven't tried ovuscope. I just bought the answer kit. I am going to test tonight when I get home around 6:00. My only concern is that since I have PCOS it may not be accurate. Women with PCOS often have high LH levels anyways. I think my LH was high back when I had the bloodwork done in Jan of last year...I can't remember for sure though. I guess if I get a positive result on 3 or 4 tests then I'll know that they won't work for me and I'll just use my chart to confirm when I ovulate. We are every other day (at least) anyways so we will be covered.

I forgot to mention; I use the opks later in the day around 6pm. I try to hold it without drinking much in between when I know that I'm going to be testing.

Thanks DJ! We are very close...I am definitely feeling signs that I am about to ovulate...I have been known to ovulate very early before...one cycle I o'd on cd9! I don't know how clomid will effect my ovulation date because I am never regular...usually around CD17 or so I think...if I have a fairly "normal" month. I will take the first test tonight when I get home...I'll try not to "go" before I leave work and just hold it. My drive home will be about an hour or so.

Keep me posted on how you are feeling and I'll do the same. By the way....what days did you take clomid and when did you ovulate?

I took 100mg on days 5-9 and ovulated on cd13. Usually (without Clomid) I ovulate around cd12. I'm doing what the RE calls the Clomid Challenge Test so I have had blood draws on days 3 & 10 for FSH and E2. Those numbers have come back real good so now I'm waiting to do a Progestrone test on Monday to get my final results. The 2ww is going to be very long!

I took clomid 50mg on CD 3-7. This is just a trial run...if it doesn't work this time then my dr. is going to be more aggressive and have me come in for ultrasounds and bloodwork throughout the cycle. I went one entire year (last year) without taking meds to trigger AF and I only had 4 periods all year! No wonder we are having trouble getting pregnant! I only released 4 eggs when most people release 11 or 12! Even with PERFECT timing our odds would still be low. I'll be happy if clomid at least makes me ovulate and around the normal time (like CD 12 - CD 16 or so).
