Icon5 Does everyone get monitored on Clomid?

Hi I was given clomid by my dr an obgyn. I started seeing him when they found an endometrioma last June on my left ovary, gone since Nov. He started me on 100mg days 5-9 and I did two cycles but no monitoring. He just said to email him if I don't start. After the first two cycles no preg. Also I was temp taking and found I o on CD 18 and then started 8 dpo. So I contacted him and he said that he wanted me to do a third and fourth cycle and then have an xray to check tubes and go to a fert. spec. But I started my clomid on CD 1-5, thought I would try something new. He also told me to quit temping, they are unreliable and stress me out he said. So do you have to be monitored?

When I was first put on clomid I was put on and not monitored. But when I went to RE I was. HTH

By the way did your Dr tell you to take clomid 1-5? I have not heard of that one. I was on it from 4-9 and I have heard from 3-7 but not 1-5.

Yes, when OB did Clomid she just told me to have sex days 10-18 every other day and to take Clomid on days 5-9. I only did that for 2 months before I moved on to a fert spec (bw/us to monitor your follies and when you O).
Good Luck

Thanks, for replying. No my Dr. told me to take it for days 5-9. But I did that for two months and I was o too late. So I read about taking it on days 1-5. I figured if it didn't work I still have one more month of clomid and then I am off to the Fert. Spec.

I was not monitored for 5 clomid cycles...then went to RE and this is my first cycle with monitoring (i love it). It feels so much more accurate to KNOW whats going on in there =)
Good luck!
