Default cycle day ?

Hey ladies,

A friend of mine has been given a rx for clomid to take starting on day 2. Every time I took it I did it starting day 5. What is the difference? She has a 2 1/2 DD conceived on her first try. Now she has been trying again and she has not been ovulating each month (she has an ov predictor machine) She has gotten prego twice, however, both ended in misc. She will be 40 in Jan. She is supposed to start her pills tonight.

Thanks for your thoughts,

Heather

Hello and best of luck to your friend!!

I have heard it is just the discretion of the physician prescribing the Clomid or their individual office protocol. Nothing to be too worried about!

Age can also be a factor in deciding the cycle day to start, as well as some other "issues" or factors that may be underlying.

Starting on CD 2 will not hurt anything.

Hope to help!
