I finished 100mg clomid (1st cycle) on cd 9 and now I am on cd 20. I have been having for the past 3 days fatigue, nausea and food adversion, and earlier today I felt backache as if AF was coming. Does Clomid cause these side effects? And would they happen this far after taking the last pill. Just wondering if anyone else has had these side effects. Thanks in advance!

I think that the clomid side effects differ so much from person to person, so i'm not sure if those particular side effects are normal or not. I do know that when I was in my consultation with my RE, she did say that the side effects common with clomid (she only mentioned headache, nausea) could last throughout the cycle.
If your back ache gets worse and you notice that your nausea and other side effects seem to be worse, I would probably go ahead and call. When are you supposed to test? Hopefully it's not anything serious, but if it gets worse, i would call my doc.

I had a lot of fatigue during my first several clomid cycles. Progesterone could cause the fatigue. Not sure about the backache though.

I have 7 days left until missed period. But I am beginning to worry that clomid may have shorted my cycle and these symptoms are saying AF is coming. I now have for the past 2 days had sore nipples which I have never had before, but I have taken clomid before so might be from that. I also have increased discharge, and I had sharp pains in my right lower side last evening for about a half hour. TTC is frustrating, Oh well, I think I will take a break from stressing and test this weekend. Thanks, Wyndi

I often had ovarian discomfort throughout the cycle. With clomid, you never know. I have seen some women have shorter cycles with it, but it seems like those women were give it to boost their cycles, not to ovulate.
