Default Clomid round 1 in May

Hi everyone. New to the forum.. trying to find out as much info as I can to make this clomid experience as fast and painless as possible.

I'm 24, husband is 23. Married for 4 years. Had a ruptured uterus+partial ectopic preg in Oct 04 which resulted in the loss of my right tube. Extremely long cycles and no luck ttc since.

I am going to be taking provera starting May 5 followed by Clomid on days 3-7. From researching it sounds like we need to BD every other day for 2 weeks after the clomid correct?

any words of advice are much appreciated!

Hi,

Sounds like you are on a good path. I don't know if you have used provera before, but AF will usually show up a few days after you finish taking it. The clomid is supposed to make you ovulate 5-10 days after you finish taking it, but this varies a lot from person to person. There are a couple of things that you can do to pinpoint when you ovulate, such as tracking your basal body temperature (most people use fertilityfriend.com because they allow you to track it there and teach you how) and using ovulation predictor kits. That way you can know better when to bd in case you have a lot of stuff going on or have a tough time keeping up that schedule for 2 weeks. A lot of us have a hard time keeping up our stamina after a while.

Let us know if you have any questions! I'm not exactly the poster child for clomid, but it has worked very well for many women!
