Default clomid question

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum, and have a clomid question...My husband and I have been TTC for 10 months now and nothing! A friend of mine started taking Clomid due to her periods not being regular & she is now 7 months pg. My periods are pretty normal/regular. I also believe that I ovulate normally because I have been using the LH surge strips to show when I am ovulating. My question is, is Clomid only used only for someone that does not have a regular period or someone that needs assistance ovulating? Thanks, and I look forward to your responses!!!

Default Re: clomid question

My doc and I are unsure if I ovulate, (no tall tell signs and super erratic preiods on cycle was 58 days, the next was 40) but he put me on Clomid anyways. My hubby and I treid for quite a few months unsuccessfully but due to my age ( m young actually 26, which to my doctor means i should be able to concieve but for some reason can't) and my erratic periods the doctor felt we would be trying for years without a success. Therefore we both thought it best that we try Clomid. Must docs will agree to it because it is pretty invasive other then some possible s/e. It helps to regulate your periods as well as helps your body to produce stronger and healthier folicies which are obviously needed for pregnancy. Make an appt with your ob/gyn, im sure after the months of trying they would agree. Make sure you bring all your cycle info.

Good luck (sorry if this didn't make sense it is early and I have only had one cup of coffee)
